Chapter 13 - The Apocalypse (2).

Outskirts of MBZ city, UAE.

Driving at 64kmph a Red delivery truck with white stripes howled wildly from the Wind and brushed passed a few pedestrians with just 2-3 foot. Scaring away the unsuspecting pedestrian out of their wits, the truck didn't stop or even slowed down at all, instead, it seemed to pick up an even higher speed ignoring the curses of those peds behind.

Inside the Truck sat a young man with south Asian characteristics, his hair was a shade of Matt black, with an ordinary face, nothing extraordinary could be observed from him. Instead, he appeared to be the embodiment of being Modest and Humble.

Sweat was pouring out of his forehead like driblets almost soaking his entire face. With a swipe from his off-hand, he rubbed away the sweat with a handkerchief and concentrated on the road with the steadfast resolute once again.

Gradually the surroundings started becoming more and more desolate, fewer buildings came to his view and soon there was none.

The young man was none other than Bilal, after his spendthrift shopping spree he decided to go to a less inhabited area. So that he can stash his goods there. He tried covering as much distance he could, but it looked like the time was over.

As a System Notification sounded in his head.

He immediately stopped the truck on it's tracks and exited it as to not repeat the previous incident if something unfortunate happens once again. But, nothing seems to be changed the sky was the same, so was the ground. Until…..

'BOOOMMMMMM'

Suddenly an ear rupturing sound bursted into his hearing, rendering Bilal stunned accompanied by a pressure so intense that can pull him down to the ground, intending to crush both his body and soul.

Clenching his teeth he resisted the pressure and opened up his eyes to looked above, but what he saw amazed him to no end at all. The sky was splitting with multiple black mirror like cracks, from which billions of tiny multicoloured dots were gushing out.

He didn't feel surprised because of that, he already had witnessed it once, before he was blown away. Instead this time those dots didn't remain stationary in the sky and began conglomerating into a large shiny rainbow cloud, those clouds were raining the coloured particles which was staining the ground with different colours.

He also noticed now he can observe them without the white background in his normal view. He concluded something must've changed in his eyes.

[Mutation concluded, Host now able to perceive an Unknown frequency.]

[Mutated cells out of Hibernation, Mutation marked non-invasive]

Although he didn't understand what the system was saying, he understood it was something related to being able to see the dots normally, he would enquire it later.

As if the clouds had their own consciousness they began moving towards him, this was his que to leave.

Bilal withstood the pressure and crawled into the truck right back in, stomping the accelerator he sped the truck with crazy speed, but to his dismay the clouds always seemed to be faster as they were on the verge of catching up to him.

On the distance he saw a building type structure, suddenly an idea came to him, to hide inside the building from the clouds it would definitely provide him more protection than the truck.

He came closer to the establishment and saw it was a

street side restaurant with brown stained glass panels as Windows and some cafe tables with chairs on the outside. He jumped rushed out of the truck, abandoning it he dashed for the small restaurant.

As he was rushing in, he saw a three humanoid figures of they were sitting on the seats outdoors, they were laughing and talking to each other merrily, they seemed like an old pair with their son.

Although he didn't knew what would happen if the rainbow clouds touches them, but he knew very that it won't be something good, he felt like he was doing a deed of great evil to them.

But he didn't stop to warn them and definitely won't stop in the future if given the choice, even though he felt bad for them, he wasn't stupid enough to wait and get struck by that cloud monstrosity behind him.

He didn't have the time to open the door slowly and enter, so he just tackled on the glass pane and fell inside the restaurant. Luckily he had already changed his clothes after his shopping spree and wore the protective clothing, if hadn't done that then he would've become shredded cheese by the sharp fragments. But some glass pieces still got strucked onto his exposed face, grazing and bleeding it.

His spirit was resolute as he didn't stop and ran till he reached the other side of the restaurant. But to his dismay there was no other door on the back side. All he could do now was to either

He watched in terror as the rainbow clouds entered the restaurant through the hole he made in a wave fashion and spread in all directions. Everyone touched by the rainbow wave started shrieking while clutching their heads, their skin started darkening and within moments it started melting too. They no longer looked Humans at all instead they resembled creatures depicted in numerous science fiction movies; Zombies.

All of a sudden their Eyes started glowing in various different colours, as they all glared at him with their glowing eyes and said in a unified eerie voice. "The Dissonance is near, awakened one choose our side, accept our blessing, leave your aging body become an Everlasting Elemental"

Then with a poof their glowing eyes dimmed and exploded in ashes. Leaving the corpses without Eyes and yes, all that was left was corpses. He saw numerous glowing particles drifting in the air, but they seemed harmless now as if they had lost their life.

It looked like everything went normal once again, except the fact that he was one who was accountable for the deaths of these people....
