Chapter 6

With their eyes burning with anger over the loss of their teammate, the group of four mages led by Anssa Roy ran up the hill to capture and even aim kill the 'evil creature'.

What had been their original task of only tracking and keeping a lookout for the evil creature had long been put behind the back of their minds. As mages, these people were intelligent. They knew that the presence of the evil creature and the sudden appearance of the grey stallion horse could not be a coincidence, as such they concluded one thing: The evil creature was the true mastermind behind the beast.

As such they resolved to avenge their teammate by getting rid of the evil being once and for all. Although the group of mages were already tired after a drawn out battle with the stallion horse beast previously, they were reignited with a new found power of vengeance towards the evil being.

It didn't take them long as they easily caught up with Jaime, who had just reached the top of the hill. They quickly surrounded him and carefully observed him, although they seemed indifferent to his appearance, Jaime knew that they were infact horrified and angry?

"What do you want?", Jaime was the first to break the silence. This was the first time ever since he became a skeleton that he interacted face-to-face with a human.

Anssa Roy and her colleagues looked into each other eyes and reaffirmed their intentions, without saying anything they began to chant, ready to launch a deadly attack!

Jaime, who was silently on guard was prepared for such a situation. He had been on alert when he observed the other party's silence over his question.

"Repel all light, Fog Of Darkness!", With Jaime's quick chant, a curtain of darkness spread out and enclosed all of Anssa's group. Taken by surprise over such a peculiar spell, many of Anssa's teammates were distracted and forgot to complete the chants of their spells and as such they faced some backlash and spat out some blood.

Anssa Roy gritted her teeth and continued her chant, " Water from the heavens, wash the filth before me: Water Jet!"

A powerful water sword, unlike a jet came forth and slashed into the dark fog towards the place where Jaime had previously been standing. With a huge disturbance, the fog of darkness was lifted.

Anssa had a pale look on her face, clearly she had exhausted all her mental stamina and even drawn in a bit of her life force to cast that powerful water spell but it seemed fruitless as the evil creature was nowhere to be seen, all that was left was a skeletal hand among the rubbles and as for the owner of the hand? Out of sight.

Jaime panted as he ran down the hill and towards a secluded spot that he had made a few months prior. He was prepared for such a situation beforehand and had made many secret bases in the lumberry forest.

Although Jaime could be considered as an undisputed king in the lumberry forest, that was only during the night. During the day he was no different than a weak beast and since being of the dark element, he was greatly restrained.

"Since these people wished to hunt me, I will hunt them down when the night arrives.", Jaime made his decision as he hid inside a small isolated cave.
