Chapter 36: "A New Rival?"

The passer-by was staring at us. She yelled, "Isn't it, Baby?"

"Sorry, Sorry—Raghav!" she glared at me.

I bent down my face for the stupid thing I ever done. Bhargav came forward and stood between me and Prachi.

He smiled and said to her, "It's very common for a boy to choose love over friendship!"

"Bhargav, I didn't mean to—"

"And yes—He did block me but, I'm not angry about it anymore."

He kept his arm on my shoulder and pulled me close, and I was still in shame.

"He loves you unconditionally!" "A-A—And I'm proud of it. If there is any problem comes between you two, Raghav—I'll kill you!" he warned.

He sighed.

"Bhargav, please don't say that you didn't feel anything."

There were times when he was with me, holding my sadness under his arms. Suddenly, I felt like he left me in that dimension. Even if he stays back with me, there will be no words to face him.

"I'm sorry!"

This was the situation, my tears didn't come out of my eyes even though feeling missing. I asked myself numerous times in fraction of seconds whether I did right or wrong. If it was right, I would have regrets from my friend, and else from my girlfriend. What in the world one can destroy a healthy friendship. My anger started to rise, uncontrollably. I wanted to slap Prachi for making hell of a bet but, I end up listening that Bhargav kept the bet on me.

"How could he do to you, Bhargav? You are his childhood friend, and he know me from last 1 year," Prachi questioned.

"Noth—"

"Don't say anything, Raghav. You just—lost my respect," she said.

"Calm down! Calm down! Prachi, things are better with you from his side."

"Now, don't ruin it, ok?" he said.

The way he was talking by my side, I felt regression pressed me down to the fire but, the fire wasn't burning me because I was above Bhargav.

If I had the power to see the future, slightly, I would've chosen to speak to him that day, but who knew that he would stop talking to me from that day. I apologised him for the mistake but, he never messaged me back.

I even tried to talk to him personally, and every time I crossed his floor, I couldn't find his presence through my eyes. Though I have my loved one beside me but, my heart was still aching for the person I owe the most of my life. The days went on smoothly from the day I stopped searching for a talk to him.

Even I had ego to not to talk to him.

"Why should I speak to him in the first place?"

"He planned this all, why should I regret this?"

After fifteen days,

In the morning 8:30 a.m., I was in the class, waiting for Prachi's arrival.

"The class timing is up! Where's she?—She told me to wait outside the college but," I leaned my head on the bench and said, "Here I can sleep."

"My head is aching! I wonder how she manage to be normal right after the fight."

"Hello!" a girl came to me, standing beside my desk. She was having a big smile on her face.

"I have girlfriend!" I said and slept again.

She wore a gown with hair open.

"Excuse me!" she said.

I got up from my bench and said, "Go!"

"Are you Raghav? The writer of "Not A Normal Girlfriend" ."

I was wearing a normal dress with drowsy look, I smiled, "Yes!"

"Did you read the story?"

"No, it was boring!"

"What? A bad review?"

She was so confident in telling that my story was boring.

I couldn't able to swallow this review and asked, "Are you a writer?"

She went back to her place and pulled out the book and a pen and brought to me.

"Please, give me your autograph!"

"Why should I autograph?"

"Whenever I write badly, I'll look at your name."

All of a sudden, my anger started clearing the drowsiness. I took her pen and asked her name as I wanted to be as a professional.

She said, "Anjali!"

I signed and wrote her name. When I handed over her book, she kissed me on the cheeks and thanked for the autograph. I rubbed my cheeks and said not to kiss me.

As I looked at the door, looking whether she came or not, she stood near the window, staring at me. She was looking very angry.

I avoided her eye contact to be in safe hands.

I walked towards Anjali as she sat on the book desk, facing me.

"How one can be so rude to someone?"

"Anjali!" she was staring at her name which was written by me.

I cleared my throat for her attention. "Yes!" she said with a smile.

"Did you see any girl, standing outside the gate?"

"Yes, I saw Prachi!"

"By the way, thanks for this!" she said, looking at the page.

I secretly looked at the window and saw her still staring at me. My heart was beating fast as if the ghost watching over me. Her cunning look made my eyes a clear defeat.

"Prachi, are you mad or what?"

I scratched my head, and Anjali asked why I asked about Prachi.

"Is she your friend?" she asked.

I paused a little to answer and checked her face. She was waiting for my response, desperately.

"No," I laughed.

"Sorry, yes!" I corrected with a serious look.

"Are you new to this class?" I asked.

"Yes, and today is my birthday!"

"Happy Birthday, Anjali!" I wished.

We shook our hands. "Thanks!"

When I asked how she know Prachi, she told me some unbelievable fact.

"The way you described in the book and Prachi look alike a lot!" she said.

"Thank you!" I blushed.

"It is the first compliment you gave me," I relieved.

"But, there was no strong base in your story!

--And you might end up after this story!" she chuckled.

Her words pushed me down in confidence.

"I see!" I said, gently.

"Sorry to hurt you," she apologised. "But, you have no skills!"

"Let's go, Ragh!" she said from the window, loudly.

"Y-Yes, coming!" I took my bag and about to leave the class door.

"There is a class, Ragh!" Anjali said.

I looked behind and corrected, "It's Raghav!" I left.

"Wait for me, darling!" I yelled. "I thought you gone."

She walked towards me, curiously and held my collar, "I told you not to talk to any girl!"

"Jealous?" I chuckled and saw Anjali looking at us.

Prachi kissed me on lips and said, looking at her, "There is a fan staring at you, baby! You are only mine!"
