TWO YEARS LATER
James's POV
"Ok, since you guys achieved information regarding this mission , I will let you guys take up on it," Chief was giving us a look that practically said 'don't you dare screw this up'. "The main reason you guys are being given mission is-"
"Because it's a personal one." Mel completed for him.
We all stood in the chief's office, he was sitting behind his table which was piled up with files, behind him was a huge portrait which he had apparently acquired after successfully finishing his personal mission which took him twenty years.
I had been assigned a team three years ago and the man in front of me had given me the opportunity. But I had not done a great job, I had started out pretty terribly and things just continued to go downhill. I had made one of the biggest mistakes as a leader but I wont mess it up this time since it's a personal mission.
Me and my team are secret agents of an underground national organization which dealt with cases given up or with clients who need the kind of work we do. But a lot of people join this organization to finish 'personal missions'. The name pretty much explains everything. It is a mission which gives one a chance to take revenge or find people who were kidnapped and all sort of things. The reason people end up here is also because the police and detectives were unable the case, due to whatever reasons. Most of these cases end up involving corrupted politicians or illegal gangs.
This time we had finally got information on Mel's personal mission and we could not blow it, it meant a lot to her after all. Well the team has five members, there is me, James Wishburn, the leader.
Mel , short for Melanie, was a brunette of age 21. She was a great hacker and could fight well too. Then there was Hudson Blue, our best fighter and the master of 3 different martial arts, karate, taekwondo and kung fu. He was pretty well built and his shaved head made him look pretty intimidating. Next was Roscoe with red hair and excellent negotiation skills, he was great at manipulating the situation in any way he wanted. And Nolan, a complete jerk who was great at making plans and keeping the team entertained. Every team is supposed to have six members but we were short of one.
"But there is a catch," said chief.
"What is it ,sir?" I asked him.
"You guys will have to work together with another team."
"Wait what?" asked Mel. We all were pretty confused at this .
"Yes, its because of your success rate. That the board made this decision. Since this is a personal mission you guys can take over it. But to ensure you don't mess it up we assigned a team to help you out." The chief said looking at each of us with a comforting look.
"That's fair enough. So which team is it? Senior A?" at this Roscoe elbowed Nolan, who winced in pain. Senior A was a great team but the reason Nolan wanted them to be assigned to them was because they had the hottest girls.
Mel rolled her eyes and we all turned our attention back to chief. He gave an uncertain cough and continued, "It's a team consisting of Ghost agents."
"Wait that really exists?" asked Hudson, raising an eyebrow.
"It does, "said chief," also seems you have been assigned the best team there. It was only assembled a year ago but it has a success rate of hundred percent." The chief looked pretty impressed as he read the team's file.
"So what are their names?" I asked chief.
"Well that isn't written , in fact there is no personal information regarding any of the team members except that there are six of them. The only thing here is their agent codes. "
"That makes no sense," reasoned Mel.
"It actually does, Ghost agents are literally like ghosts. If I am correct they have no information on any system in the world. Its as if they don't exist." Roscoe said looking at chief he gave a nod confirming that he was right.
"Well then when are they coming?" asked Nolan.
"They were informed of this a day back and should be here any moment-"
"Sir, sorry to interrupt but it seems the team has arrived," chief's secretary informed him.
"Okay tell them to come to the meeting room. We will wait for them there." Chief said getting up.We all left his office and walked to the meeting room.
"Hey man, do you think the team will have some hot chick?" Nolan whispered to Roscoe which got him a smack from Mel at the back of his head.
"Idiot."
We all entered the meeting room which consisted of a huge table and a projector on one side. Everyone took their seats facing the door. The chief's secretary's head popped through the door, "sir they are here."
"Tell them to come in." chief said and we all stood up to greet the team. The door opened and first came a girl wearing black combat boots, black shorts with a black tank top and a long black leather jacket with a badge on it which said the words 'leader'.
It was her. My entire team stood in complete shock. Behind her entered five other people dressed completely in black too.
"Agent 261500, ghost team 'troublemaker' reporting. Sir" she said addressing chief. Then she turned to the rest of us and said, " its been a while, hasn't it."
I couldn't believe it. She was alive. She was alive and she was a ghost agent, and she was here. My mind went into a complete state of shock.
Am I dreaming?
But I knew this was not a dream, it was real. Angelica Redstone was alive and she was here.
