Stephen told his team to be online,
"Alpha, any news about our new pack member?" asked Macky excitedly,
"There is, Beta provide the revised contract," Dave sent it.
"Wait! she will work with us, as a mystery writer?" Ivan's hand flew across his keyboard,
"Even to us, her identity will be confidential?" typed Macky, somehow disappointed.
"What if she is a fraud?" intervened Ivan,
"Don't you trust me?" inquired Stephen, "As for security, I've prepared a program that will automatically trace her and wipe out everything from her device if ever she is a fraud," none of them can utter a single word on how he thinks and planned everything ahead.
"Well that is our Alpha," commented Dave, trusting his words, their doubt about RareHeart subsided for now, they knew very well that no one can outsmart Stephen.
Dave prepared the system that will allow RareHeart to be included in their GC while Ivan worked on a webpage dedicated for her article. Macky created an account for her official profile and lastly, Stephen resent the revised contract and waited for her response. Aya was done reviewing her lesson when she received it, her eyes twinkled in excitement upon reading it and noticed an attachment. As she opened it, she was surprised because it was actually a program. In the email, it indicates that once she click on the 'I Agree' button she will have an access to Fenrir server. Excited, she followed the instructions and obtained an access within a minute,
"Welcome to Fenrir," greeted Stephen,
"Thank you so much Sir," replied Aya.
"We don't use 'Sir' to address someone from our company," he commented that made her confused,
"What should I call you then, Boss? Master? Lord? Highness?" he laughed,
"I like how creative you are" he replied with an laughing emoji. "Anyway, we used ranking, based on hierarchy of a wolf pack to address our employees and they call me Alpha," he retorted,
"Alpha?" she thought for a while, "Alpha is the highest rank..., wait? this means he was the owner of Fenrir?" she muttered and facepalmed to think that she talked to him so casually. "Alpha? You mean you're the owner?" she questioned and bit her lips, a mannerisms when she was nervous,
"Well, we built up Fenrir together that make us the owners but since this is originally my idea, they choose me to be the CEO or in your term the Boss, Master, Lord, and Highness." She raised an eyebrow, "Why I have the feeling that I was being teased?" he somehow sensed what was on her mind when she didn't reply at once, "I'm not teasing you, I've just figured out that you used terms like that, it seems you are familiar with names that were usually found in games, I bet your a gamer," It was unexpected, Aya thought, "It's unbelievable that you can easily discern a person by observing the way he used terms, that's cool!" she typed back, her compliment made him happy. He really hoped that this RareHeart was the girl that he saw before, he have already a hunch that he was right since her alias is too unique to be used by two different people but still he needs to confirm it. "Thanks for the compliment," he replied, "Since you are officially employee of Fenrir, I'll give you the username Luna," he updated her company username to Luna RareHeart. Earlier when they discussed her employment, they thought that Stephen assigned her that username because she was the first and only female that they ever hired in the entire history of their online business, but they have no idea that there is a special meaning to it.
Dave came and saw Stephen at his living room, he was focused at his laptop thus he didn't noticed his friend. "Wow," expressed Dave as he saw his very rarely seen smile, he peeked on his laptop. Stephen's facial expressions returned to its usual facade: being serious. "Is that your first task for Luna?" asked Dave, "So finally we can chat with this mysterious employee," Stephen nodded while typing. "Bro I kinda curious about her, why she requested her identity to be confidential?" questioned Dave, "Is she hiding something or she is hiding from someone?" he added, Stephen halted on what he was doing. "I don't know either, but it doesn't matter for now, since we only need her talent for writing and not her personal background," Dave agreed, he have a point, this keep his curiosity at bay. Stephen knew that he was just concerned and he can't blame him for doubting RareHeart since he didn't know who she is. One of her condition is not to question nor discuss her background. Her personal data such as her real name will be treated as confidential though she provided her other information like her birthday, age and gender. To be honest he was also intrigued on why she requested for such agreement but for now he can't do anything about it. First of all, he agreed and respected her condition, and foremost her privacy, so he decided to wait for the time comes when she reveal it herself.
"You mean they agreed on your condition?" asked Herbert, he and Aya met before their class started. She told him for the nth time but he still can't believe it. "But why?" he questioned, then she faced him, "I've really need this job but I'm worried that Papa might discover it, with the technology it is easy to gather information nowadays. If he found out about this he will be furious at me..." she explained. "You know that he hated anything related to my major," she reasoned out, "As for Fenrir, I don't want them to be involved with my personal problem besides, this way, it lessen the possibilities of him finding it out," he remained quiet, he was well aware of her complicated relationship with her father. In his opinion her father doesn't hate her major, instead, it seems that he actually hates everything Aya does for unclear reason.
Later when Aya was about to leave, her professor asked her to return the materials they used for demo to the library. As she talked to the Librarian, the materials were too heavy for her so the guy who just came in, noticed it and volunteered to bring it inside the store room, "By the way I'm Kevin, Third Year, Mass Com," he reached out his hand to shake hands. She remembered him, "I'm Aya, Freshman, Comp Scie," and took his hand. He was surprised because most of the students who enrolled in that major we're usually males. "I didn't expected that," he blurted out, it somehow offended Aya, she was kind of sensitive when people reacted about her choosing that major, "What's wrong with that?" her sudden outburst. He felt he said something wrong, "Sorry I don't mean anything," he apologized, she realized that he might just said that unintentionally and she was overreacting. "Sorry for my reaction," she retorted and the atmosphere between them becomes awkward. He try to say something to uplift the mood, but Aya rushed out and Kevin was left behind wondering why she suddenly left hurriedly.
Aya ran as fast as she can, it was already 6pm, her first task at her work is to be online at 7pm. She was busy thinking how she able to get home before the said time, when suddenly she bumped into someone, loosing her balance in the process. Fortunately the same person whom she collided with is fast enough to hold her, preventing her from falling. "I'm really sorry!" she apologized and gasped, she knew him, it was Stephen. Aya felt uncomfortable around him, as if she has no right to talk to someone like him. Immediately she stepped back while avoiding his stare, "I-I need to go now, thank you," she can't believe herself for stuttering. She turned around when he spoke, "You seem in a hurry?" Aya looked back to see if he was talking to her. "Y-yeah, I need to get home before 7pm," she exclaimed thinking that by saying this it will end their conversation, "I see, I can give you a ride," he offered, this is not what she expected.
She was now sitting on the passenger seat of his car. "What were you thinking? you don't know him personally but still you go with him," she silently scolded herself. "Don't worry I'm won't do anything," said Stephen while his eyes focused on the road. Aya blushed and averted her eyes on the window besides her, "Did I said that outloud? maybe he thinks that I'm assuming, Aya your not beautiful, I mean yeah your beautiful but not enough for him to be that interested with you, okay?" convincing herself. At the crossing while waiting for the green light, "Why such in a hurry?" he asked suddenly, "I-I had a work online and it's my first day so I couldn't be late," she stuttered. With this, it confirmed his hunch about her being RareHeart, "By the way, I don't know your name yet, your being unfair with me", Aya look and gaped at him, "Unfair?" He glimpsed at her to see her reaction, "You already know my name, but you didn't tell yours," he explained. "Wow, what a self-centered, knowing that he was famous thus no need for him to introduce himself?" she thought as she narrowed her eyes on him. "Well I'm waiting," he spoke, "It's Aya," she huffed in annoyance. He could tell that she was irritated by the way she placed her arms in front of her chest. "I am Stephen, nice to meet you Aya," he reached out his hand towards her, her jaw dropped, she was embarrassed to take it because she assumed that he was being cocky and full of himself a minute ago. Due to the humiliation, Aya insisted to be dropped off at the jeep terminal, "That is really embarrassing..." she really felt ashamed. There, while waiting for a ride, she wasn't aware that Stephen parked his car not so far from where she was. He stayed until she got on the jeep and when she does that's the only time he left.
Everyone was excited. "I can't wait to chat with her," said Macky, "Be patient Delta," chimed in Ivan. "Come on Gamma, don't tell me you are not excited to chat with her," he retorted, Ivan just rolled his eyes though he knew he can't see that. Rareheart's username turned active, she is now online, "Welcome! Luna!" Macky was the first who greeted her, "I am Delta GreyLock, in-charge of programming and security system," Aya smiled at his introduction. "Yo, they called me Gamma Spiral Spear, responsible for Marketing Strategy and Sales department, at your service Luna," messaged Ivan. "Beta Debonair here, handling Finance and Payroll for both, nice to meet you," as Dave introduced himself. "And that composed our team," intervened Stephen, " As for you Luna, you'll be assigned directly under Gamma's supervision," he added. "I'm so glad to meet you all," responded Aya, "It amazed me that just the four of you managed one of the most popular site," she praised them. "Yeah but obviously, Beta, Gamma and I do the dirty work while Alpha leads," announced Macky, Stephen smiled slyly, "Because the leader should have brain for Fenrir to operate successfully which I have," he typed, everyone laughed. "I forgot, Alpha is a bully" said Macky annoyingly, "Thanks," retorted Stephen. "It's not a compliment!" he replied in disbelief. Aya was having fun chatting with them and Stephen was glad that she got along with his friends right away. He knew that they will like her when they meet her personally, "Aya... My Luna," it's like a sweet honey to his lips when he muttered her name.
