Mourning

"Not now, we need to get Aetius back home. I will tell you there. Okay," He stands up and grads Aetius. Patty makes a transportation circle. Her, Jax, and Aetiuse's body are in the circle; Patty says the spell, and in no time, they are back home. Jax sits on the ground the snow around him melts away. He lets his mind wander, not thinking about his anger, not thinking about his fight.

Jax feels a hand on his shoulder, he looks up and sees Patty with tears in her eyes. He stands up and gives her a huge as he pulls away Patty whispers something in his ear, he lets go and nods his head.

"I'm going to tell you something I told Alex when her father died. Keep your head on swivel kiddo; don't let your thoughts control you," Patty's voice is soft and smooth.

Jax lets out a slow breath of warm air, "I'll get started on what you asked. Also, we now have about 16 to 20 children that Alex and I saved from that place," Jax walks into the woods.

Patty grabs Aetius body and pulls it into the house as she pulls him into the living room, she places him on the carpet.

"Hey, mom is that you. I really need your help Jax is stuck at that church that Aetius told you about," Alex tuns in the living room and sees Patty.

"I know, sweety, and Aetius saved him already…" Patty pauses. "Jax is fine," Patty's voice trails off. Alex looks down and sees Aetiuses body; she feels a wave of sadness, anger, and regret.

"Jax told me that you two saved about 16 or 20 kids," Patty takes Alex by the shoulder and turns her away from him. Alex nods as Patty takes her into the kitchen. Zedd looks that Alex and Patty confused as to why they are crying but think nothing of it.

She looks at Patty and asks, "Where's Jax? I would like to give his jacket back," she holds up the black coat.

Patty looks at her and tells her where he is and what happened; Zedd realizes why everyone is crying, but Jax is out in the cold without a jacket. The look on Patty's face says she knows this "Jax will be fine. He told us a while ago that the cold doesn't bother him."

"Mom, I could help him in whatever he is doing," Alex looks at her.

Patty shakes her head and tells her that Jax needs to be alone right now; it's probably not the best idea, but it is better than nothing. Patty usher's them into the kitchen so she can help Alex take care of the kids. One hour has passed, and Patty, Alex, and Zedd are now sitting at the kitchen table. Alex gives Zedd a once over. She notices her fire-red hair and iceberg blue eyes, as Alex was about to ask her how long she was in the lad. They hear the front door open and close and a voice yelling around the corner "It's done." Alex stands and runs around the corner but doesn't see Jax. She looks around and then runs upstairs and sees the bathroom door closed.

Jax's breaths are slow, calm, and tired turns the shawer on and pulls his shirt off. The steam of the hot water warms up his cold body; his skin was cold, but he didn't feel cold. All he could feel was the pain of losing someone like Aetius, Em, and Jessica. He steps into the shawer and feels the water chipping away at the dried blood on his skin. Then he brakes, and he just lets the tears fall off his face, but Jax doesn't make a sound; he allows the water to wash away the blood, sweat, and tears if the horrible night.
