The Awakening

The world trembles, the world shook. Of all the world evil, the world shall crumble before its impure taint.

The sword has been broken, the oath is lost.

No one will wait, no more.

No one will search, anymore.

The mighty heroes fall, the country burned, as their so-called mysteries fail.

The Guardian always a single late, as heroes they are.

Yet, a single girl stood, a girl who lost everything, a girl who knows the evil of mankind more than anyone wanted.

She remembered how much hatred she harbored to him, to them.

Of snow and the kindness, he showed to her, despite her earliest intent he still smiles.

He even would sacrifice himself even it means to save the lives of a single fly, she bitterly thought.

His hand won't reach anything, those warm hands that held her tenderly.

So is hers.

With hair as pale as snow, eyes as red as the blood that baptized her whole life.

She gripped the dagger tightly, channeling the power surge forth from the distortion.

The heroes have been sacrificed all for the future of the bleak.

It was weakening from the earliest blast of the promised victory and the grey world of steel.

Not enough, she thought as a large surge of bluish hues siphoned through her small and frail frame to the dagger of the jewel.

It started cracking under the unrelenting pressure, so is the world.

With a single swing from a pair of frail arms, a large arc of light waves collided with the evil taint.

It screamed it reached trying to corrupt the girl yet to no avail it failed as a shield of green enveloped her tired body.

An everlasting minute has been passed, it was gone leaving an only dark patch of mud.

The world won't let this slide badly like countless others of her counterparts.

As gratitude, it purified the grail that once been blessed by her last child three hundred years ago.

'To whom I fought? Where do I return? All of that has already gone', the girl thought as she feebly maintained her fading vision.

'I can't taste his cooking any more I won't feel his warm hands no more", her life flashed before her moist eyes, her precious two weeks with them, with him.

"N..no I don't want that"

She remembered how two weeks felt like an eternity to her, it worth all the time she lives under those endless tortures.

"It hurts"

The first time she met him was not the best kind of the first impression when it's under the mighty roar of her berserker, she chuckled weakly.

Never once she felt so powerless under the glare of a woman named tiger, weird name as she recalled when she was beating her brother with the coated bloodlust wooden sword. She shivered slightly at the memories.

She thought of the awkward antics of two sisters that once reconciled and their fierce competition over her brother innocence, not as she will let them! Or she hopes so as some incident requires body fluid exchanging.

They won't let her do that due to her cursed, damnable small body, she barely gritted her teeth. Even that King of knights, and the Gorgon!

Then a small chuckle escaped her bruised lips, worth the time indeed.

The grim thought started crept its terrible way to her, not from the taint but her terrible fate.

Why? Why? Why? Does it have to end? Even if she wished for happiness the tragic world won't let her! They will rip her families again and over again, she wailed over her grim circumstances.

'It's so unfair.'

Just like when they tear her mother apart and divide her from her father.

'I miss you all.'

The fate won't endure such thought as her happiness it will beat her green just to put her to the place she once belongs.

'Is it so wrong, to sought happiness?'

She only hoped for a family, a place where they could smile, away from this distorted world.

'It's too late'

A place where they could protect themselves from the harsh circumstances of fate, she cried with her broken throat for the first and the last time.

'I hate this'

The grail heard it champion all this time. It formulates its champion wish, as it appeared and thrummed brightly above the girl.

A shining, pleasant warmth enveloped her as the dying girl vanished instantly from this tragic world.

She forcibly opened her sore eyes, weird I should have inevitably died.

Desperately trying to regain her vision and bearing only to meet with the cold-steel from the all-too-familiar weapon.

It allegedly pointed toward her just like the time her deceased father direct it toward her at the fourth heaven's feel.

"F…father?!" with a trembling voice she frantically called him, only to solely find an unknown stranger in a black unknown armor over a draped red coat just like her broken and lost brother.

"Who are you? Where is this!?" his voice was cold as steel, a voice that reminded her too much of her father.

"No…this…Impossible!" her long-lost trauma regained, yearning the warm hug her father gave once.

As the stranger pointed the gun towards her, a network of wire slithering behind and ensnared him as the gun dropped towards the gravity.

"Well, well let's talk like a civilized people we are, shall we?" an enchanting voice came from behind him, a voice she knows all too well.

A woman in her twenties at best, with shaped figures draped over a single white ceremony dress and crown.

Her snow hair falls down freely as her ruby eyes looked over the small girl that really resembled her greatly, albeit with a childlike body.

The girl stumbled back when saw the woman until she bumped into another figure behind her.

"Ugh…where is this?" another voice chime in behind the girl, greatly surprised the small girl.

"Eep…" with a small squawk she turned behind, then suddenly all the vigor replenished inside her as she turned into a ballistic force making the boy stumbled to his back.

"Illya?!" The boy exclaimed, ignoring the pain inflicted by her sister.

"Shirou!" She embraced him, cried, relishing on his warm and smell. Forget the last part, you pervert.

Shirou until now was too occupied over his predicament but his sister sobbing making him break his inner thought as he returned the embrace back to her sister.

"E-hem, I'm sorry…not to break a hearty reunion but there's something we need to talk about," the woman smiled awkwardly at the two siblings.

"Ahahaha…I'm sorry uhm…who?" Shirou sweat dropped as her sister was too busy sniffling his chest.

His bare chest to be exact, as he realized his current attire, there's a single white coat draped over his left shoulder, and the familiar red shroud on his right arms.

"e-hehehe…shirou…"

Ignoring her creepy laughter, there's a black hakama with plated samurai armor down below his chest, and also a pair of geta over his usual shoes.

Weird, he thought.

"Irisviel von Einzbern, may I inquire your name?" He was too shocked over the revelation, so is Illya who forcibly stopped relishing his exposed chest over the influx of information she received overwhelmingly.

"S...Shirou Emiya, you can call me Shirou," He politely answered as the man who silently watched the exchange murmured something.

"Emiya? That's impossible the last line of Emiya should have died that time."

Shirou heard his murmur thanks to the constant reinforcement he forced when he woke up before, "No, I'm adopted after all."

"Well, how about you introduced yourself, mister assassin?"

"I barely remember my old name…Kiritsugu...Emiya, I guess," How has he remembered his clan predicament when he could barely remember his name, Irisviel thought.

"Father!" Both children exclaimed once more, only to receive a puzzled frown from the masked man.

"I'm sorry, I don't know you nor I ever meet the both of you before."

"I see…" they smiled weakly.

Sensing it won't go any further, Irisviel took the uncomfortable conversation once more "well, let's past over the thought and to the main…"

"EHHH!!! Shirou damn you! You will pay for this!" only to find her interrupted once again as a scream came from beside the room.

"Rin? Sakura!" Two figures emerge out of the room as Shirou barely maintained his bearing and embrace her right here right now if not for the current situation.

One wearing a scanty bikini armor with tiara adorned her heads, while the other wears a blue Indian sari that further accentuated her bountiful figures. Guess which one is who.

"Sempai! I'm glad you're fine." The purple haired girl released a relief breath.

"I don't know why, but somehow the way you call me is somehow different to her," The black twin-tail tsundere grumbled under her breath.

"Well don't sweat it Rin, I genuinely love your new appearances too it looks…wild…yeah, you kinda bold if I have to say." The boy earnestly tried to placating her until she promptly fired two black orbs at him.

"Grrr...don't dodge you, faker!"

"E-hem…" trying to gain the attention once more. "Not breaking the reunion once more..." She leveled up her gaze to everyone inside the modest room, "Are there any more who will join…" She dearly needs to make sure the coast is clear before proceeding.

"Mama, Onii-chan good morning" another figure came out from another room, yawning sleepily and rubbing her upset stomach.

Wearing a certain faker garb albeit more "feminines", so loud she thought as she should still have her beauty sleep at this time.

"Hhm? Is this Halloween? Why all of you wearing a costume? Even Rin and Sakura" She approached warily to them.

"Eh, Onii-chan! Why you suddenly become so tall! And what's up with all of those abs, growth spurt?"

"Is there something wrong?" She tilted her head innocently for the puzzled looks the other gave her.

"No, but who're you?"

"Is this some kind of odd play? It's me you know, the world sexiest Chloe von Einzbern!",with pride, she said while puffing her pitiful chest.

"Pfft…dream on shorty"

"Hmph! Unlike a certain old granny at least I know modesty!"

"Hey, have you heard the saying kettle calling the pot black?"

Sparks grown uncontrollably between the scantily clad teenagers, aren't they just met some time ago, everyone sweatdropped.

"Let's ignore these two, anyone else?" Irisviel asked to make sure, the anxious time has passed.

"So anyone would tell us about our current predicament?"

Illya, who been silent this time, was raising her hands, "ah…Illya-chan isn't it? Do you have something to tell us?"

"Uhmm…I don't know anything but before I was transported here…"She began retelling the story she had been through from telling both the adult are their parents, participating in the fifth heaven's feel, meeting her brother, both sisters.

She retold of how they fought the golden archer and all the evil of the worlds that took them by surprises at the end of victory over the golden archer.

She began to cries as she got to the part, where they failed to stop it Berserker had been lost during the early fight. Then saber almost got tainted but before she unsealed her holy sword and directed it to all the world evil.

Of how the Red-clad archer tried to fight beside saber, of how Rider tried to protect them from the evil taint, of how they backed to the corners of the wall toyed and beaten.

Her brother sacrificed himself just to weaken it, so they could have the chance to defeat it. The two sisters followed suit along with their newly-summoned servants. Only her left last, trying to fight it all alone, could we never ran that time, and fought it this would never happen.

Everyone got quite at her tales, Shirou tried to hug the sobbing girl once more, her sister.

"Good job Illya, maybe I could make you something again?" He knows her best, even when the Shirou now is not the "him" she knows.

Each had tried recalling their own story before they came here.

"Everyone here almost had different yet similar stories" The Purple-haired kouhai murmured.

"2nd magic," the twin-tail magus said, "we came from different timelines of the world."

Or maybe someone triggered a wish upon the holy grails. Hearing Illya's version it's possible if the grail has sacrificed and tainted at the level of a country, even more, the tightly packed Japan. The eldest Tohsaka thought.

"My version of Shirou is a hopeless fool that tried to save everyone even at the cost of a dog leash in the afterlife."

Ugh…a metaphorical arrow stabs him at his back. It's true he was once like that but not when he knew what had happened to Sakura.

"Sempai is not like that! It's true he is a fool, abandoning his ideals and earnestly trying to save the worthless me and all"

Then which one is right! Shirou tried to retort but he would never do so lest he incurred the divine wrath of the two affectionate sisters.

"Eeh, my Shirou is just a meek little virgin unlike you all, though we've ever encountered another badass one in the different worlds." Chloe raised her head remembering precisely the Shirou who cleared the Ainsworth holy grails war under a single night all to miraculously save his beloved sister.

"Unexpected, you've traveled to a different world and still survived to live the tales."

"Why is that nee-san?" Sakura tilted her head.

"The second magician, you never travel to a different world under his active supervision. And he will only throw people to the different world just for his own amusement, all of them are undoubtedly and surely will be sent to an asylum after returning."

"And in my case, I never met you all or to be exact we never hire anyone at the fourth heaven's feel" Irisviel joined in.

"Same" was the only reply from the silent assassin.

I just hope he would stop that stare, Shirou thought.

"Like a father like a son, you made a contract to the conscious will of humanity, in our specific timeline you died a few years after adopting Shirou."

Everyone stared at the magus killer, not hearing a single reply then they shifted the attention to Illya.

"How about you, Illya?"

"Everything is the same exact stories until the fifth heaven's feel."

And they would never tell her, that she always died under different tragic end, even if she survived the war, she would die in a year due to enormous modification the einzbern put to her.

"But in Kuro case…" Sakura called her with the name Chloe insisted.

"No such thing as the holy grail war fought with materialized servant. We lived happily with mama and papa, also Illya and Shirou. There's also the alternate Shirou sister, Miyu Emiya." With a carefree tone, she said.

"All of this is just made us tired, how about we continue this tomorrow?" Irisviel placed her hands at her cheeks.

"Good idea, all of this makes me exhausted"

"I grasped the house. It only has three rooms."

"Hmm, then the satisfactory arrangement, Kuro with Illya, Irisviel with kiritsugu, then…" She smiled wistfully then turned her head to her sister, they nod in agreement "deal!"

"Unfair! I want to sleep with onii-chan too."

"She's right, no one wanted old hag anyways it's the glorious era of little charming sisters!" Kuro prepared her Kanshou and Bakuya, spark surge forth until a flexible wire entraps her hands.

"Well well, can we just call this a night?" She smiled benevolently, not everyone would think so thought with all the black aura oozes out of her.

"Y…Yesh Ma'am!" Kuro frightened at her should-be dear mother along Illya who quickly shelter behind her brother, her leg was shaking.

"Ugh…" It irked her so much when the twin-tail magus poses a V mark to her, "just don't forget to put a bounded field will you!" She gritted her teeth.

No matter, Onii-chan will naturally become mine someday!

*break*

Outside the balcony of their private rooms, the two stared steadfastly at the still bustling city, the clearing sky painted black with the moon high on the horizon.

It's not like the modern city they know, or any place in the earth she could remember not when they saw some animal-eared human even elf occasionally pass-by outside the small mansion they reside in and a giant single tower that pierces the sky in the middle of the city.

She had to restrain him once again when he tried shooting them from afar. What a handful man, though it somehow put a pleasant smile on her face when she could saw him again.

"So, what do you think Emiya-san?" She started the conversation, gazing wistfully at the bustling city from afar.

"I don't know…all of my life before I would never think to have a family nor even a child" then came his unwavering cold voice as he stood there besides the railing.

"Pfft" she chuckled at the unmasked assassin answer, "I'm not talking about that, I mean the world, surely as magus even a third-rate at that you would feel the dense concentration of the mana."

At first, she typically wanted to properly start from a light topic, but this could work as well, she amused herself.

He instantly turned his rosy face away, surely embarrassed if the red hue on his ear is sufficiently a clear indication.

At least, he still could feel, she thought.

"Still neither am I, Living the rest of my life as a grail vessel used by them, I would even never thought to start a family"

"And those children, they live in a really harsh world" she carefully held her hand to her ample chest. She remembered the child that really resembled herself.

She could see Illya trembling lips when she met her. Mother, she tried to form those words yet unable to do so when the person in question could not even remember her.

Somehow it pained her so much, wondering where she had gone wrong.

"Any decent human being would forever break under those constant pressure, yet they are still smiling, even it would mean to masked one grief if it could lead others laughing, I can see it clearly on each of their eyes."

"I genuinely want to make them happy, at the visible corner of our frozen hearts we sincerely hope, do you think so dear Mr. Magus Killer?" She smiled amiably at him.

"I don't know…" He muttered under his steadying breath.

"Hmmm for an assassin you surely an indecisive person"

Intentionally ignoring the woman teasing he continued, "Though maybe with this I could escape my own hell"

"Hmm…I see, a selfish reason indeed but it would undoubtedly help us nevertheless in this new unknown world."

And I won't hate you just for something like that, she sadly thought.

At that memorable night, both sleep peacefully for the first time in their eternal life, fondly dreaming a familiar field of everlasting snow where they once met.
