A New Home

Lj took in her surroundings, Ezekial left her in the new space she'd be calling home for a long time to settle in before they began training. The room was more spacious than she thought it would be with pastel blue walls and furnishings that seemed to be made of pure gold along with gemstones such as opal, emerald and sapphire. It was basically a decked out one bedroom apartment with one bathroom and a large living area and decent sized kitchen. Lj paused for a moment, "what do Angel's even eat", she questioned herself out loud as she lingered by the doorway. There were many questions she had prepared for Ezekial some more simple than others. Her wings dragged on the floor behind her, but she didn't once feel a burden carrying them. As she entered the bedroom her eyes wandered over to a gorgeous opalescent painting that depicted what seemed to be the first group of guardian Angel's to have ever been in existence. Their body language shown great triumph over their enemy and Lj could tell they were a mighty group with wings and heads held high. She also took notice of their clothing as it was very similar to what she had received. Light flowing dresses almost like the Greeks would wear, her dress reminded her of what was known as the high low style in her old life. She didn't wear any shoes, but simple brown sandles were an option if she needed them. The only jewelry Lj picked was an odd necklace that hung just below her collar bone, it shined with the different gemstones infused together to create a smooth finish of greens, blues, white and a hint of gold specks when seen in the sunlight. The cool white and gold marbled floor beneath her feet felt amazing as she marveled at the painting. Lj knew at that moment that she wanted nothing more than to make the originals proud of her and that was exactly what she planned on doing. A knock at the door brought her from her thoughts and when she answered Lj was shocked to see a spirit like lion. A truly amazing creature standing in her doorway, Lj backed up hesitantly as she watched the beast stare her down feeling like he was looking into her very soul. "Miss Lj, it is a pleasure to meet our newest addition, I am Daniel", the spirit lowered his head in a nod to Lj as he spoke, "Ezekial has asked me to escort you to the training grounds, please come with me." The spirit nodded for Lj to follow and she did so with some hesitation, "What exactly will I be training for Daniel", she asked as her eyes followed the same stream as before like it was a beacon of hope. "You will need to learn how to protect yourself from the darkness and how to help those lost souls that are being attacked daily, it is imperative that you have the knowledge and strength to defeat this evil while also protecting your own soul, as Ezekial told you before your wings are black for a reason and your soul is still hanging in the delicate balance as is your future." The spirit spoke so carefree to the young guardian, but she appreciated the honesty and information as they walked together. Looking to the west Lj noticed just how incredible this realm was, a land of elegance and shining light. There were vast mountains to the west and to the east she could almost make out an ocean that seemed to carry on forever, Lj made a mental note to explore these places later. They passed a large building with massive columns holding its structure up, "what's in there Daniel", she asked excitedly as the building was like nothing she had seen before it almost reminded her of the old Greek temples, but even larger and more grand. "That is the library of knowledge, all of the knowledge of your world, heaven and the underworld are housed in that building. Of course you have to be a certain rank to read some of the books, but your rank allows you entry and access to the books on our history of guardians, you're welcome to always use it." Lj smiled she loved to research and gain knowledge and this was the perfect opportunity. They carried on with light conversation as they neared the training grounds. Looking up Lj saw the unmistakable presence of Ezekials wings as he made his way to them.
