Quoting the boys scout motto, Laging handa, the CEP is always prepared in times of calamity and disaster thru its Disaster Risk Reduction Team.

As recalled, last May 18, fire struck at Barangay Dumagoc, Pagadian City leaving 58 families homeless; it took its toll and devastated a large area of the barangay and the place could not be occupied due to the rubbles left by the fire. The bakwits were sent to the nearby barangay evacuation centre at Balangasan covered court.

The CEP with EMCOTECH teachers and two student volunteers released bundles of used clothings, canned goods, noodles, rice and others to the victims consisting of 30 families. The team met Barangay Kagawad Lariano Ebarle who is in charge of the Disaster Risk Reduction committee of the Barangay.

The activity was a success when we saw the joyous faces of the bakwits that provides hope to that simple act of kindness EMCOTECH-CEP has offered.
