Chapter 6: finding Damien

Peter pans funeral was not very long lasting because Damien is still on the loose and no doubt Volkar is still in control of Damiens body and will most likely remain in control for the next few days. Damiens parents now on a mission to get their son back and end this nightmare they decided to drive Cecile and Angelina downtown to find Damien the problem is the police are now everywhere looking for him while everyone knows that it will be a while before they find him or they will never find him.

Damien runs through downtown hiding in the alley ways to keep out of sight, and he looks for an abandoned building hoping to eventually stop and rest for a bit. While the number of police officers continues to drop they still won't stop until they have found him and bring him down. Volkar finally found a place that is abandoned and not one person within sight of this building,

"Soon it will all be over and I will finally be free and then I will show the other realms my power and I will be the most powerful of them all." said Volkar finally resting,

"That's not what I wanted I never wanted any of this, I don't want anyone else to get hurt I just want this to end." said Damien in response.

"Don't worry you will not need to worry about hurting anyone in time you will have no worry left."

"What does that even mean?"

"All will be revealed soon enough, but I'm going to need help."

"From what?"

"From others like me, again you will know what I mean as soon as it happens but first I need food." Volkar quickly silenced himself and Damien and looked out from the building to find someone who is mentally strong. He continued to look around until his eyes were caught by a couple walking down the sidewalk looking closely at them they both had faith and belief and had great potential. He quickly jumped out of the building and starts to follow them in the shadows waiting for the right moment to strike.

While Damiens parents were silently driving down the road trying to find their way downtown Cecile and Angelina were in the back being worried about him,

"When did Damien get possessed?" asked Angelina,

"I have no idea he may have been possessed all his life for all I know." replied Cecile, "but now that I think about it considering what happened each night he may have been possessed his whole life."

"What kept happening overnight?"

"A couple of years ago I started hearing noises coming from a different room in the house I didn't know which room in the house until I left my room to look for where the noise was coming from, it took me to Damiens room and I was afraid to even touch the doorknob but my love and care for my brother gave me enough courage to walk straight into the room but I immediately regretted my choice because I saw him shaking and moving around on his bed making gurgling sounds and he kept growling but eventually he stopped and looked up at me. We both made a promise to never tell our parents but after what just happened they believe everything I say. In case you didn't notice how silent they've been because they're still mad at me for never telling them."

"You didn't tell anyone since?"

"Obviously not plus by how you reacted who else would believe us."

"Sorry."

"Do you still have feelings for him?" asked Cecile

"Yeah I guess I do, I mean he's always been the sweetest person to me I'm only slightly upset about how much he's changed but I still see something special in him and if we're lucky it might help us fight this thing."

"Hate to interrupt this conversation but we are entering the downtown area now how do we find Damien?" asked James.

"All I can think of is to follow the dead bodies and go the opposite of the screaming people." replied Cecile,

"Well that's a small problem, because number one, there are no dead bodies in sight, and number two no one is running anywhere." said Rebecca.

"Well shit you know what let's just split up, we'll know Damien when we see him." said Angelina. So they parked the car on a sidewalk and they all went different directions searching for Damien while they all noticed at most two cop cars looking all over town trying to find him.

Back at the abandoned building which looks like it's what's left of a small factory, he had already gathered six people including the couple he hunted down a few minutes ago. He was currently feasting on the body of a young man in a suit and tie, Damien still able to see what is happening and unable to throw up to it and unable to do anything about it.

"Why do you have to eat these people, they did nothing to us?" Damien asked while trying to hold in his brain vomit.

"I've told you over and over again the strong must be feasted on,"

"To make the strongest of them all, yeah I know it's what people do during times like this" Damien responds interrupting Volkar. Volkar then stands up and looks out the window of the building and sees Damiens father walking down the sidewalk looking for Damien and then looks down the street to see inside the upcoming cars and he sees only one car with someone with mental strength coming down the road.

"Damien were you paying attention to what I just saw?" he asked as he began to climb out the window

"No why did I miss something important?" responded Damien now paying attention to what he is doing.

"No but I need you to pay attention now otherwise you will miss something very important." Volkar replies as quickly leans out the window of the building and then jumps to the next one and climbs around the edge and starts to quickly slide down the building and when the car gets close enough he jumps straight on top of the car and dents the top causing the driver to panic and swerve in the road a little bit. He breaks the window on the passenger side climbs in and grabs his arms keeping them where they are on the steering wheel and bites into his neck and shoulders ripping out as much flesh and blood as he could, and he leans towards his side and he causes the driver to turn to the right straight towards Damiens dad and no matter how hard Damien tried to yell and warn his dad about the out of control car but sadly all he could do was watch in tears as Volkar quickly climbed out of the car the same way he came and his father was hit and was crushed along with the restaurant the car crashed into and started a small fire.

Damien was unable to cry as he was now just trapped in the mind of his own body but if he could he would once again be drowning in his tears. Volkar the one who runs off of this pain is now sure to be in control for the weeks to come, he then begins to jump upon different rooftops while the crowd and the police in the area are drawn to the car accident and once again looks around as he stops at the top of a parking building,

"Even one single stream of smoke can start the worlds largest forest fire and slowly the fire will increase and this world will burn." said Volkar focusing in one particular direction.

"Why do you have to do this to me, I'm already in enough pain, just stop please?" Damien asked barely able to hold his voice.

"Not yet my work is not yet finished I just need one more." Volkar quickly ran in the direction he was looking from building to building he ran until he reached a construction area and slid down a piece of it and across the street from where he was, his mother was walking down the sidewalk looking for Damien.

"It's unfortunate but I was starting to like her but sadly her time has run out." says Volkar as he grabs a hold of one of the supports.

"NO, Please, don't do this to me!" Damien tried to stop him but his effort was pointless, Volkar began to melt the metal that he was holding in his hand, and as the rest of the metal started to melt he moved to the support on the other side and started to melt it while the metal was melting he used what little magic he had and forced the building to fall towards Damiens mother. On the way down it started to fall apart but eventually it fell down onto his mother and damaged the road and the other building it fell onto and crushed anyone and everyone it fell on including Damiens mom. Volkar tried to slip away but Damien is in a lot of pain but he is also angry, so angry that he is powered enough to take back control of his body,

"Damien no you need me, you need me!" Volkar tried to get Damien to let him take the wheel but Damien tuned him out and took his body back and without thinking he ran over to a pile of smoking rubble to find his mom. He began to dig, he got deeper and deeper and he reached the body of his mother and let out all his tears that he has been holding in, so drowned in his tears and pain he grabs his mothers body and held it tight.

"I'm sorry mom, i'm so sorry." he whispered to his mother and he continued to sit crying with his mother in his arms, he had no idea how long he sat there but it was long enough for the police to move in point their guns and took him by force, and they didn't even need to use any.
