Come

As I got to know Nikki a little bit more, I started to realize the fact that she is completely normal. I finally have a normal friend, for now at least.

Being a man of manners, I offered to walk her home in order to be aboe to talk to her even more. Just then, I notice the woman from a few days ago across the street. It looked like she was anxiously waiting for someone but I didn't really want to approach her since Nikki was with me and I didn't want her to get any wrong ideas, so I just ignored the fact that I even saw her.

"So this is where you live?" I nervously asked Nikki as we stopped in front of a luxurious-looking hotel.

"Yeah. Would you like to come in for a cup of tea at least?" she asked me out of the blue.

"No, that's okay. I still have things to do back home and I'm a bit running a race with the clock's hands. I'll get going then. Have a good time."

I was so nervous during the time we spent together, though quite short. I wonder if we will get closer in the future? Anyways, I'm really overjoyed to know that I've made a decent friend.

The next few days were pretty much the same. Nothing really special started to develop between me and Nikki. We were just friends from a far-away place.

One week later, we meet each other in the halls of campus and I had the chance to talk to her more, but a guy suddenly approached her and walked away together with her, with his arms around her shoulder and hers on hos waist. I wasn't really heartbroken or anything. No, really, I'm perfectly fine. I'm just a bit shocked that he already had a boyfriend but she approached another guy.

Well, I'm not really mad. We're just friends though. As I walk home, I came across my archenemy.

"Ugh, this psychopath again. Are you perhaps following me around? I'll call the police on you!"

"Why are you so full of yourself? Have you forgotten the fact that I go to this university too?"

Just like that, my argument ended. I couldn't really talk back after that. One thing bothers me though. Was she always this ill-tempered? What's up with her?
