One Life Ends, Another Begins (Rewrite finished)

In the shadow of the Red Line, Maleficent was standing on the deck of her new ship. One that she had created before the climb up. It had stood anchored here, waiting for her its master's return.

"So... we belong to an emperors crew now?" The youngling said, struggling to accept her new reality. "Crazy."

"Empress, little lady. I am an Empress. And yes, you accepted my deal. Are you wanted to back out?" Maleficent asked casually as if it didn't matter at all. She sounded unconcerned.

"Of course not, you saved us. I-I am just a little slow on the upkeep. It all happened so quickly. I was in the bedroom with that... beast, and now I'm free. Sort of, I guess."

"Sister, what do you mean? We're free."'

"Marigold, I promised we would serve her, it was the only way to get us out of there." She said. "Please don't be angry with me." Her eyes sparkling with tears.

"From one master to another." The third sister exclaimed quietly.

"Don't feel bad. I am no master like you were bound to previously. With me, you will gain power and freedom. As long as you show me loyalty I will support you even if you wanted to see the world burn."

"I don't understand," Marigold said.

"As long as you don't betray her trust, she will give you anything. That should be perfectly understandable." Kurama said. He was leaning against the railing of the ship, nonchalantly playing with a fireball.

"Will you give us powers like that?" The curious Sandersonia asked.

"No. Your elder sister is the only one that will get it." Maleficent answered mercilessly. "If you want power, you could always eat a devil fruit."

Hancock looked angry. "Why are giving it to me? I'm not a fighter and I won't take it if you aren't giving it to my sisters as well." She recovered some of her peoples' prideful nature.

"You have a one in a million potential. Meaning, you are worth cultivating, they are not. Simple as that. And all those who are serving me are fighters, no choice." She answered with brutal honesty. Her eyes had a glint in them, a dangerous one that made Hancock back off.

"V-Very well. What power am I getting?"

"Same as fox boy there. I will grant you the power of fire. Life and destruction in its purest form." Maleficent snapped her fingers and Hancock felt a burning inside her.

"It... burns. So. Much." She struggled with her words as the heat worsened.

"Tough it out. Fox boy didn't scream so you better not either." The dangerous glint in her eyes remained.

"Sister!" Sandersonia and Marigold were instantly at their sister's side. But they couldn't touch her.

"S-She is so hot. I can't touch her." Sandersonia said worryingly.

"Her powers are integrating with her. Don't worry, she will be fine." Kurama explained as he had knowledge in this particular area.

"I'm fine, S...Sonia, don't worry."

"How long will this take?" Marigold asked with urgency. She couldn't watch her dearest sister suffer.

"It will take as long as it needs to." The goddess answered.

Meanwhile, their ship moved on its own, a neat feature only her ship possessed. It steered itself and could move without wind. It was heading straight for Raspberry Island.

"Take her to your room, I will call for you when we arrive at your new home," Maleficent said and ushered them away.

While they travelled towards Raspberry Island, a certain tall, lazy and worried Admiral was sitting in the office of Fleet Admiral Sengoku.

"I read your report, but I will need to hear from you. What you wrote made no sense as usual. It is unacceptable for an Admira to have such atrocious handwriting." Sengoku explained sternly. His famous seagull hat was placed firmly on his head. But knowing full well it would do no good. The three Admirals all had their quirks and nothing he did could rid them of them. Oh, how he had tried.

"Troublesome. Big guy, fire, we fought. He beat me, then a little girl came in and put me to sleep. They took the Boa sisters with them. Oooh, and she declared herself the new Empress of New World, yo."

"SPEAK PROPERLY!" Sengoku was close to beat the life out of this troublesome Admiral. "I prefer Garp over this." He mumbled.

BOOM

"Someone called!" The rise cracker obsessed giant came flying in... through the wall as usual.

"Oooh, scary. Sir Garp... you should be more... careful. You almost gave me a heart attack." Kizaru said. He drew out his sentence so much you would think he fell asleep in the middle of it. Meanwhile, Sengoku sat and contemplated his life.

"How come none of my subordinates is normal. I just want one. Just one!"

"Oooh, are those tears, boss?" Kizaru said with some cheek.

"QUIET! And Garp where the hell have you been for the last week?" He continued before Garp could answer and said: "Wait, let me guess. East?"

"That's right!" Garp answered shamelessly, and without concern. "Got to train my grandson so he can be the best marine in the future!"

"Whatever. Here, read this." He handed Kizaru's almost readable report over to Garp, who skimmed it quickly.

He had no problem seeing what was written. "A new Empress, brilliant!" Garp gave an audible laugh. "And she put you to sleep? Classic!" A thundering laugh rolled out of him, bringing Sengoku to the brink of madness.

"You're worse than paperwork." The Fleet Admiral said as he rubbed his forehead.

"Ne, don't worry, Sir, I'll win next time. I couldn't go all out thanks to the Celestial Dragons being close by. That man he... won only because he didn't care for them, so I had to protect them as well, yo." Kizaru said, and as usual in a very drawn-out sentence. A weird speech pattern is one of the many quirks he shared with his fellow Admirals.

Aokiji was close to him, always speaking in a low tone, and sounding bored or tired. And Akainu always yelled really loudly. Kizaru disliked that the most.

"I'll talk to the elders and see is to be done about this. An invasion had never happened before, and I assume those two are going to get some hefty bounties. But you're dismissed for now." Sengoku waved them away. "Garp stay."

"What you want?" Garp asked, sounding almost hostile.

"I need you in the New World now. No more trips to the East, not for now at least. There will be great turbulence from this declaration and I don't think this new foe will stay quiet for long."

"Alrighty. Do you know where I put my rice crackers?"

"No. Go home and get some rest."

"Alright... Can I get some money for rice-crackers?"

"LEAVE!"
