Starlight Necklace

Second Millenniun.

A heart-shape paper was unfold.

"My Dearest little elf. I know I've already told you this for so many times before, yet I will never be tired of telling you...

My love, you are the shiniest star in my lonely nights, the brighest light in my dark life.

You are the freshest air in my breathless dreams, and the finest water on my deserted planet.

You make me smile at the slightest thing you do, your laughs give me a chilling sensation too.

My love without you I won't be able to survive, because you are my strength, my only life.

You might not believe it, but half a month ago, I've decided to finally visit my hometown. My apprentice also went with me because he said he wanted to. The Capital changed a lot! It was totally reformed, and until now, I am still convincing myself to believe what I've seen. There have been new policies, and I was so surprised when I met the current Emperor. The empire was still great, just like what my guardian acknowledged me about it when I was still a kid.

But of course, no one will win over my dearest elf's greatness! It is because you're the best, the most beautiful thing in the world. There is no night and day I couldn't think about you, you're always in my mind I can't even let you go. Shet, I think I'm being too much haha.

Hey, love, how's life? Are you doing fine? Its been a while since the last time we saw each other and I'm missing you so much right now. Would you mind if we meet at the south section near the Enchated forest? I'll see you at the river valley! Yours Truly, Alu."

The woman wearing an elegant blue crystal dress folded the letter with a wide smile forming on her lips. Isn't he just so cheesy? He can easily melt this woman's fragile heart with his flowery words.

'A week of waiting was so worth it.' She thought with her overflowing emotion. She looked at her reflection on the mirror. The reflection has a small pair of purplish-blue eyes, a thick white long hair that was ponytailed tightly into a bun, has a pale skin, a narrow nose and a small rosy lips. She's well-known as the Moonlight Archer, Lady Miya.

She only has to escape again just like what she always does. The security of Moon Elf kingdom was very tight, numbers of guards are watching over in all corners of the doors and hallways. For the first few times that the young Miya tried to escape from the guards before, she would be caught off guard over and over again. But this young elf is definitely one of a kind. There is no word giving up in her vocabulary at all. So, she would try and try until finally, one day, because she was already trained by the past, she was able to escape, with the help of her guardian.

Miya was able to wake up at the dawn. She was busy fixing herself and getting ready for another escape, when a servant knocked on her door. Luckily, she's got to hide quickly the things she would bring on escaping this early morning.

"Lady Miya, his highness wants to speak with you before his leaving at the morning." the servant carefully said after entering her room.

When she asked the servant about her father's whereabouts, a glitter of joy lit up on her purplish-blue colored eyes knowing that her father will be far in few days now. Of course, it would be easier to run away when the king isn't around, right?

The servant also mentioned that his highness will be attending an important conference that will be hosted by the leaders of the four kingdoms. Hearing about the news, Miya was a little bit confused. It was a very seldom event, indeed. A lot of crazy things came into her mind which made her almost spacing out, her senses began to wander anywhere to the point that she can't feel her surrounding anymore. She didn't even notice when the servant gets out her room, wondering why they convoked a sudden conference. Still at a trance, she grabbed the things she prepared under her bed and carelessly left the room. Stepping outside, her thoughts were interrupted by her guardian.

"My great chief! You've scared me!" She exclaimed.

The chief just responded her with his usual poker face as he said carefully with a very low voice, "Are you really planning to go outside the kingdom now? There is something strange happening. It might be a crucial gamble for you."

Miya just shrugged her shoulders as she passed the things from her both hands to the great chief. "Lapu-lapu, you don't have to worry about me. Alu and I will just going to meet at the southland outside the Enchanted forest. I'll try to be back tomorrow morning haha. See you at the Moon elf passage okay?" She smiled and run fastly towards the throne. As usual, the chief can't even do anything to object. If only he could accompany the princess today, but he's more needed inside the kingdom right now. Yet he can't be too worried, mostly because he trusts the 'Hunter'.

The King's counselor, Estes, was the first one to welcome and greet Lady Miya. She just found her father preparing to leave when she came in.

"Oh, my princess. How's your day?" The King said enthusiastically, approaching her.

Miya was the only princess who doesn't want others calling her 'princess'. That's why, everyone is calling her 'lady' instead as their way of respect. Well, except her father who still wanted to treat her like a little kid. His highness really like spoiling this only daughter of his.

"Its great. I heard you're going to attend a meeting? What was that for father?" She asked, curiousity visible on her voice and face.

"Child, don't ever hurt your mind with unimportant stuffs. All you have to do is to be kind while father is not here. Are we clear?" His highness answered back, warning her. The latter, without showing any interest, just rolled her eyes in response.

After a few minutes, they finally bid their goodbyes.

Unexpectedly, the security became tightier this time causing Miya to have a hard time on slipping away from the kingdom. Seems like its not really easy at all. She thought that it was because the king isn't around, that's why they doubled the numbers of the guards. But whilst the time lasts longer and longer, she can't help but to think of a deeper reason.

'What's going on here?' She thought. There is surely something wrong, and that made her more determined to go outside and find out what was happening. Aside from the intense atmosphere, there are also small commotions happening at some part of the Kingdom.

The Kingdom has a small circular hallway connecting directly to the Moon elf garden. At the end of the garden, there is a hidden passage that Lapu-lapu made especially for the princess where she could use everytime she'll escape.

Northland. Dark Forest.

The Dark forest is the most frightening place at the land of Dawn. It is the cork of forbidden spirits and condemned creatures where they can never go outside the boundaries unless the barrier was unlocked.

It was on a sunny day afternoon, yet the entire forest doesn't show any traces of light. It was like a planet with no sun. Loud growls will be heard inside which are coming from the residing monsters and evil creatures.

Outside the dark forest, two shadowy figures of a man and woman could be seen unclear. It was just a fatigue sound but their faint-voices can still be heard up close.

"Seems like fortune is in our favor. Hell yeah, we've been waiting this for too long. May be this was the right time to proceed with our final plan." The voice of a woman said, giggling.

The other figure moved slightly, totally agreeing with the suggestion of the latter. After a few seconds he answered, "Sure, sure thing. The bastard will do that for us." Then, they both laughed wickedly, combining with the threatening roars inside the forest.

--

Back at the southland outside the Enchanted forest, a cat-like elf who resides among the Leonins was sitting elegantly on a big rock beside the river valley. This cat-like elf was came from the race of the Leonin Elves. He was surprisingly, the imperial master of magic of the Moniyan Empire, the Savana Cat, Harith. Not far from Harith's right side, a tall figure was leaning on a huge pine tree.

"Aluuuu!" The tall figure leaning immediately turned his head at the direction of the voice. By just hearing, he already knew whom voice it was. Of course, how could he forget her beautiful voice? He could still even recognize her without him looking, by just smelling and touching her. That's how much he knows her.

"Miya..." He mumbled, an overflowing excitement was mixed with his tone. Nothing else will really make him this happy aside from just seeing her.

The Moonlight archer on the other hand, abruptly gets into a halt for a few seconds when she noticed something a bit odd on Alu. He was happy, but there's also this faint sadness on his face. What was the meaning of that expression? She can't tell. Failed on getting an answer with her own question, she just appointed herself to dismiss her hesitation.

"Hey, what took you so long?" He greeted, asking.

This man was from the race of the well-known family of the Demon Hunters, Alucard. He has a deep sea-colored eyes, thick eyebrows, a sharp narrow nose, and a skin-colored thick lips. Handsome, yes he is. Alucard is wearing a thick blue long cape, similar to a knight's costume. He has these two belts, a dark color boots, and a big sharp sword was hanging on his back.

They have talked about different stuffs in life. The atmosphere was so warm and beautiful, suiting with the current season. The weather was so calm, just like a very peaceful ocean. But a serene ocean can still be disrupted by a single tossed rock. When you threw a stone on a river, it would upset the water as well as the fishes indwelling there. Just like what Harith is doing right now. He was throwing stones one by one on the river as he waits for the sun to disappear. He doesn't even care about the two lovebirds hugging each other under the big pine tree.

One. Two. Three stones. He was like counting the time until it will finally reach at its peak. He was throwing continuously until the 13th stone that he was suppossed to be throwing was abruptly stucked in his hand.

The scenery was too sudden that they almost didn't cope up with it. Nine members of the Hordes tribe shown up infront of them. They were like those ancient human beings holding different kinds of sharp weapons all over their bulky bodies.

Too surprised, Miya and Alucard hastily got up and moved in a defensive way. "W-what do you want from us?!" Miya asked stuttering lightly.

One of them released a frightening laugh, pointing at her before answering, "We'll just get something from you. Whether you'll give it to me voluntarily or not, I don't care we will force you then."

Confused by what the Horde said, Miya shook her head in disbelief. What thing exactly was they wanted from her? Then, when she was happened to remember something, she quickly put her hand on her chest. The necklace...

They wanted to get the necklace. But how did they know about the necklace? Most importantly the things it can do? Only then her senses came back when Alucard called out her name. She saw him launching strikes with the use of his sword toward the Hordes. He knocked one down, and brought some damages to the others.

Miya's body started to tremble as she quickly roamed her eyes around, looking for Harith. But he was already having a hard time dealing with... Monsters? What are the demons doing out there? Aren't they supposed to be imprisoned at the dark forest? What the heck is really happening...

Alucard abruptly hit the ground. Shocked, Miya's hands deliberately move towards her back reaching the crystalline bow and arrow, shooting perfectly one of her targets. "ALU!! Ack..." She felt a stingy blade digging in her stomach. And then another blade has followed. She slowly fell on the ground, fighting to keep her conciousness. 'Alucard... Alucard..." She kept on mumbling without any sound leaving her mouth. She has to fight against her drowsiness, even just for few seconds. Eyes barely close, she saw him with her blurring vision, shouting angrily at the Hordes.

Alucard was on a fuss... pain, fear and anger visible on his face. She can no longer hear his voice, and she can no longer feel the uncontrollable pains that are coming from her wounds. Darkness... She was beginning to accompany the darkness... Would it going to be the end? No way...

She saw them barely walking a far. The two Hordes who were pulling the weakening body of Alucard, was the last scenery that Miya was able to watch before the frightening dark finally embraced her...
