C10: The Finale

"I know why is it me."

Alduos faced Selena while the both of them are in their last pace on the Land of Dawn, in the Eruditio. Esmeralda's last star hope guided their way on where they should go.

Eruditio is the place where the functions and mechanisms of the Devs can be seen of how it works. They can fix the powerful orbital of Eruditio called Eruio in their cans, that can save and reset the whole happenings in the Land of Dawn.

"What do you mean, my loves? It's too dangerous if we are the ones who will behold the powerful orbital."

Selena cringed, but she must admit inside that she blushed and her heart flatters. But this is not the moment for those things.

She walked towards near the Eruio, the orbital is floating in a seal orange light from above. Selena was about to touch it, but Alduos quickly stops her by pulling her away and hugging Selena inside his arms.

"That's too dangerous my lady."

Selena heaves a sigh, then she hugs Alduos.

"I am the sacrifice here for the whole game, Esmeralda told me that the fate of this Dawn is in my hands. No matter what happens to me upon beholding the Eruio, is for the sake of hundreds of our fellow heroes, is for the sake of the Land of Dawn, is for the sake of the game, and is for the sake of people who finds their joy in this game."

"No, Selena, please no." Alduos hugs her even more tight. "I can be the one to do it—"

"No. Things may go wrong, or much worst. It is more better if it is me"

"I cannot afford to lose you little lady if it's forever!"

Selena pushes him, making themselves apart from their hugs. Alduos's tears started racing down to his face from his eyes. While Selena swept off hers.

"This will end the game, this will delete our world, this will end you, and me. And if I did not do anything to save our land, we will never see each other ever again. Or you will not be the lover that I knew ever again, even in the Dark Abyss."

Selena walks again closer on Alduos, then she held both of his hands.

"Let me, my Contractor."

Alduos kissed Selena. They deepened their kisses, sticking each other's tongue onto each other's mouth. Until Alduos stopped when they are almost out of air, then he hugged her.

"That does mean yes?"

"I love you, my lady." Selena smiles and hugs him back.

"I love you too, my man."

They heard a loud smash, and then again the loud growls and moans of vile creatures along with the other heroes who has already been completely turned into a vile by the killer virus. The both of them runs on the window, they were shocked when they are already near at their place.

They have already arrived in Eruditio.

"Go to the Eruio already. If they have already arrived in this place, I will stop them."

"But Alduos..."

He smiled at her and gave her a last, tight hug.

"Just go..."

Selena nodded and goes to the Eruio already, while Alduos faced the window for guidance if they are already at the place.

Selena heaves a sigh, she is now in front of the powerful orbital, Eruio. She doesn't know what this thing can do to her, but no matter what it is, it is a must.

For the fate of the Land of Dawn.

Selena entered both of her hands inside the light that is around the Eruio, she wasn't still on a touch of the orbital, but her body already reacts with a very dangerous power. Magnetic field fills her body, her heart is beating fast.

"Selena!!!"

She already grabbed the Eruio inside with her hands, she screamed in a very extreme pain she is feeling. It was never odd. The magnetic field that runs throughout her body before was in double now, her body is like being putted into an extreme electric shock, and at some parts she is glitching through the extreme mechanisms and circuits of Eruio.

She wanted to cry, she just wanted to end her life and let the others survive because of the feeling. Her face in full reaction of pain, and suffer.

"I love you Selena, no matter where the both of our ends will be." She tried to face Alduos in his direction even she is in a deep pain.

He already jumped, and she heard a loud smash onto the ground from below. A shake of the building was also felt, and the whole place's ground is already in earthquake.

Her eyes started swelling in tears. But a word appeared in the lights, that she cannot read. She already bursted in tears.

"wんﾑｲ ﾉ丂 ﾘOu尺 wﾉ丂ん ｷO尺 ｲん乇 gﾑʍ乇?"

"I just... I just want the Killer Virus to End. To save this Dawn."

Her knees wants to weakened, kneel onto the floor. She bows her head in lost of hope, while tears are streaming non-stop from her eyes.

She stopped crying when she saw her own self, glowing in a very bright light.

A blast of blissful light comes from the Eruio, it's every light that passes in the Dawn gives the calm, safe, and back to normal perception of the Land of Dawn's atmosphere. Gloomy days are over, the Dawn was set into it's place again.

There were no more vile creatures, the heroes are already back to themselves, and those who lost with ashes were also already back to life.

The Eruio stopped glowing and releasing it's power for the whole Land of Dawn.

Selena is still glowing in light even she have already lets go of the orbital. She was about to fall onto the floor, but Alduos catches him inside his arms.

They both laid on the floor, while him hugging her inside his arms. All of the heroes arrived inside, as all of them also gazes at Selena whose being eaten by the glow of the light. It is already in her shoulders.

"D-defy the abyss, and f-face the worst t-than death"

"Will I meet you there again, Selena?" Alduos asked as he cried in tears.

Selena smiled in tears.

"This, little lady. Is the will of the Abyss."

He hugged her as she tries to hug him.

Until all of them bows their heads, when Selena has been fully covered by light and carried away by the fade.
