Murphy's Battle

Chen Zhao watched as the herd of underlings hurriedly cleaned the blood and corpses on the ground. Holding his phone, he answered calmly, "Nope."

Before they even hung up, he already saw a row of headlights in the distance.

Chen Zhao glanced at the unfinished clean-up and frowned.

The underlings had just washed the ground, so it was completely wet.

There were still some blood stains around, but they were not obvious.

The air was filled with a faint odor of blood.

"Go back," Chen Zhao said, waving his hand.

The underlings left at once. The place became much more empty.

Just then, a fleet of cars stopped before Chen Zhao. Mother ran down from one of them.

"Chen Zhao, are you fine? Where's Yura?"

"Yes. She's playing with her friend in her room," Chen Zhao answered.

Mother glanced at the wet ground. "Why is the ground all wet?"

"I was cleaning the place."

"At night?" Mother asked, stunned.
