The Dogs

"Guuuh"

"What the he-"

'Thunk'

Lark who fell from the hatch along with the debris, felt a pang on the back of his head, causing the boy to fall unconscious.

Before his eyelids closed fully, he caught a glimpse of the opened door, and a man fully clad in black.

'Not again'

'Am I bound to be toyed around by fate forever?"

Thought Lark, as he fell.

_______________

"Ugh"

"Huh?"

'Shik shik'

As soon as Lark opened his eyes he saw the ground moving, as if he was riding on something.

"So you're finally awake, Lil boy?"

Hearing the voice near him, finally Lark is beginning to understand as to what's going on, he was being carried, the smooth grass was being treaded upon by the man's swift and nimble feet.

"Well for now just call me Wolfe, boy"

The man clad in black said as he kept on running, even faster than the speed of the war horses without armors.

"As to why I'm here"

"I caught a talk between the others that they were planning on joining the knights and doing something to your father"

"And they even tried making me join in"

"So what was your response?"

Lark said as he coldly sweat.

Hearing the boy said this the man kept silent for a while, then broke into a cold smile.

"Of course yes, otherwise I wouldn't bother going here"

Lark seeing the man's smile and response, the boy finally felt like he was in the edge of a cliff, much much closer to death, much more dangerous than events that have occures till now.

This is the first time Lark have felt such killing intent, in such a close contact.

For the small child, the smile was akin to a ghost.

"Kuhum, I was just kidding"

"Guess the joke was out of place in such a serious atmosphere were having"

"Right, Hound?"

The same time Wolfe said the last word, a man clad in red black came out, his hood depicted the form of a hound dog.

"Well, we can't get away with this dog on our tail now"

"So let's put you down first"

Lark was soon on the ground, and he was finally able to clearly see the man who was carrying him.

Just like the man he called hound, his hood also depicted something akin to a wolf's.

"Sorry hound"

"I'm in a hurry"

"So I won't be playing around"

Soon the sound of metal clashing could be heard.
