Chapter 24 the world as we know it part 1

Several weeks had gone by since the first fallen had come about.

The smell of dirt, metal, and blood filled the air.

Millions of other races are now invading the home of the humans.

The clock ticks for them.

With less than a year to clean their world.

These 'bandits' that are now trying to steal it from them.

While modern weapons can help fend them off.

It only works on the weaker ones.

The 'bandits' have the advantage in numbers as it grows day by day.

However, leaders of the highest-powered groups consumed by greed made the worse choices.

They didn't seal off the portals.

They used it for a 'grinding' area, For wealth, For slaves.

Thus they slowly smothered themselves as they were a large number of stealthy stowaways that are now growing in number.

The humans of the world from the cold Eastern European side They were now facing hordes of monsters those that are similar to werewolves followers of the hunt.

Just like in certain movies, a single bite will turn a human into one of them; the scarier thing was...it happens in a matter on seconds.

They are nearly immortal; however, one of the reasons why the Europeans didn't close the portal was the experience.

They gave a minimum of 2x for a shared kill between 4 people around the same level.

And if a human manages to kill one singlehandedly, they would receive around 7-8x the experience compared to another monster of a similar level.

And those that managed to do such a task would be immune from turning into one of them.

The sound of artillery sounded out as a group of werewolves received the attack with their bodies.

The weakest one exploded, receiving the majority of the blast trying to act as the shield for the rest.

The others managed to survive with simple cuts and bruises.

Using flesh and blood of their fallen comrade, they would recover then charge towards the enemies as the fur dyed in red blood.

It was causing the opposition only to see streaks of red lights that reflected the sun that shined brightly in the skies.

As the symphony of battle cries and gunshots seemed to have a strange rhythm, the two factions clashed with one another, one side like rabid beasts and the other as a well-trained army.

The skill users were too precious with exceptionally few ranged skills the army forced the rest to use guns even if the experience would be lower.

It was better than being turned into one of them.

However, their way of thinking changed quickly when one of the werewolves gained a skill and used it to vaporize a platoon that was when the nightmare of war began.

If one can gain a skill...what about the rest?

The stowaways that snuck past them in the past.

They, too, joined the battle.

They attacked the army from behind.

And the damage was catastrophic; they managed to infect 1/3 of the army before werewolves sneak attack got stopped and another portal had opened.

The portal released a swarm of Harpies. They were breathtakingly beautiful, seductive, with mouth-watering curves, with feathers that barely covered anything as if they came here to 'play.'

With every move they made seem like a provocative gesture....that was until the skin on their faces opened up, showing rows upon rows of sharp teeth.

So sadly, for you, monster girl lovers out there. Don't pick this species of harpies. They will rip your head off like literally after doing the deed.

More and more groups begin to appear to fend off the invaders; however more, and more portals popped up as well.

It reinforced the idea as to why one should close the portals as soon as possible.

As the army now caught in between the ever-growing groups that were now pouring out of the portals.

The beginning of another start of an apocalypse in an already apocalyptic world was at hand.
