Chapter 3: Turn

Freya could not take in the fact that the people around her are treating her as an outcast. She is by herself. She could only rely on herself alone.

She decided to start anew. No matter how much she wanted to clear her name, she decided to give up on it. She went to her school and got the necessary documents for she is going to transfer to another school.

On her way, she bumped into her father.

"Weren't you given detention? Why are you here?" he asked.

"I just came to get some documents," she simply replied and left.

She was thankful enough that her savings is enough to sustain her for a year. She only has to do some part time work to earn more for her expenses.

She found a small but decent apartment near Yun Zhao University where she is about to transfer in. Within a week of being out of school, Freya was able to find a stable part time job.

When she went back to the school to get her father's approval of transfer, Zilong bumped into her at the elevator.

"You're here," he said which Freya responded with a nod. "Have you been self-reflecting on the mistake you made?"

"I do not need self-reflect for I know too well that I haven't cheated," Freya replied.

The elevator opened and a pack of students rushed in, bumping into Freya which made her drop the papers she is holding. Zilong helped her pick it up and he accidentally read the "Form of Transfer."

"You're transferring?" he asked.

Freya snatched the paper from him and rolled her eyes. "None of your damn business."

Zilong scoffed and said," I can't believe you are running away."

"What else can I do when everyone here refuse to believe the truth?" Freya replied.

She reached the 7th floor and left Zilong. She rushed to her father's office and told him to sign the papers.

"Transfer school?" her father asked. "Do you know what you are doing?"

"Yes," Freya said.

"I ain't signing them," he told her as he threw the papers right back at her daughter.

Freya picked them up and said," Just sign the damn papers! You turned your back on me without even knowing the truth. You do not even have a small trust in me. Just sign them and I'll prove to you that I could do better."

Freya slammed the papers back on her father's desk. He got his pen and affixed his signature.

"You better not show yourself again," her father stated. She expected that much so it did not surprise her at all. But it pains her even more.

She wiped off her tears and left Athena University.
