Exon... I felt like I ever heard about that place before. My mother used to tell bedtime stories for us when I was young. It's located on the Highlands. Why am I in the Highlands? No people of my class are even allowed to make eye contact with Exans. Lots of mountains and where the great minds of the world gather. Truly an amazing sight.
"Why am I in Exon?" I asked the man. "This is our headquarters," he said. A headquarter in Exon, taking in an abomination? But why? "Why did you take me in?" "Because us Exans don't care about abominations. We treat everybody equally. Here, let me take you to the main room." He held out a hand and a rush of energy flows inside of me. I felt like I had slept for days.
I sat up and the rush was gone. I exhaled heavily and I followed him to the door. What lies on the other side was out of my expectations.
I saw many others, like me, but they are masters of their abilities. One had rainbow hair and being able to produce bouncy balls. One could stretch his limbs as far as the eye can see. I smiled at the sight and the door opened. There stood a man with yellow hair, moderately tall, and an 8-year-old girl. The girl sent a chill down my spine. It was her who saved me. The girl with the ice magic.
"Hey, Fiero, Skyla, whose the new girl?" Definitely Fiero was the man and Skyla was the girl at the scene. "Don't know," Fiero said. "Skyla just said to get her in." I could tell she was Exan by the way she acted to save me, even though she knew that I was nothing more than an accident. The man who led me out looked at me, and I saw pity in his eyes. I don't know if it was my psychic power confusing his brain or if it's natural.
"She could help us in missions you know?" Skyla answered. "Also her power's psychic."
Then there was a loud bang somewhere to my left and another man, this time with orange hair, his face was happy, showed up. "Corah!" a voice shouted. It was coming from above and I saw a flying creature, out of this world. It had an abnormally large face and eyes. It glided down to Corah's shoulder and the wings disappear. "Did you find a quest we can do?" it asked. "Yeah, in the Lowlands. Another bandit bunch started stealing goods again." The creature sighed.
"Bandits again?"
"It's the only thing we can take."
"Fine."
"Yeah! Let's do this!" Corah shouted. "Keep it down would ya!" someone replied. He was buffed. He stood up and he went to Corah. The ground was shaking. A breeze accompanied the tremor and I held on the walls. I wish I could float now. "Say that again and I'll make sure you stay down this time," Corah said. "Try me," the other said.
The scene around was so excited about it and I can just hope that this could be my all new home.
