Hidden attribute: Breed Like Locust—Nothing new. Orcs have an immense reproductive capacity and the god of numbers is always by its side. Enemies facing the user will assaulted by hundreds or thousands of orcs, sometimes even millions. Hidden nerf: They need a butt load of food. Also, people don't quite like rowdy neighbors.

Race name: Lich of Death (Undead)

Base stats

Strength: 10

Dexterity: 8

Agility: 12

Vitality: 5

Intelligence: 17

Charm/Charisma: 0 [There is no charm for dead people XD]

Luck: 2

Special attribute: God of Death's Blessing (Necromancy {Enhanced})—Grants the user mastery of necromancy arts and unlimited respawns with zero penalty. Nerf: Hidden attribute (1)

Hidden Attribute: 1. Curse of Undeath—Repeatedly dying in a short span of time or by the hand of the same enemy and respawning would result in a deterioration of mental fortitude, locking of skills and reducing maximum health. User is advised to carry several Undeath Curatives to restore mental fortitude and unlock locked skills. Maximum health, on the other hand, can only be restored by Undead King himself. Failure of restoring mental fortitude would result in erratic behavior and further deterioration of luck stat (Yes, luck stat can go below 0, into the negatives).

Hidden Attribute: 2. Heaven's Ire—Being an undead, user is deemed a follower of a heretic religion, the Undeath Religion and the Undead King. This provokes the authority of Heavens and therefore, user and all of his associates will be hunted down by paladins and priests from different churches.

Intelligence: 15

Luck: 10

Special attributes: Wicked Prophecy—Voices from the void, woods and shadows always follow the paths of a Warlocks, warning him/her of potential danger or treasure. They can often be misleading or illegible banter.

Hidden attributes: 1. Blood Deal—Warlocks and Witches have special bloodline magic spells which are powerful but a taboo in the magical world but would require a blood sacrifice to commence. Whether the blood is from the spellcaster himself/herself or from someone else is completely upto the spellcaster.

Hidden attributes: 2. Heaven's Ire—Being a follower of a heretic religion, The Dark Cults, user and all of his associates will be hunted down by paladins and priests from different churches. Friendly advice, keep the knowledge of your profession to yourself. Don't trust anyone.

I look at all the races and was quite pleased with my options. Until now, the one with the lowest base stats was the Lord occupation of Humans and the one with most stats was the Disciple of Chaos. Though, I would argue that even the profession of Orc Lord and Undead Lich is pretty good. Yes, the charm and intelligence of the orc lord might be a little on the downside but its strength is even greater than the disciple of chaos, that's a whole different level achievement. While the Undead Lich profession could become a game-changer in the right hand but then again, from what I heard from experienced rpg streamers, it isn't easy to start one's career as a necromancer.

Imperial warlock though, brings a whole new gameplay. I might not have been the best streaming gamer before or anywhere near that, but even I can see that in the hands of a ruthless and cold warlock, first hidden attribute will work like magic. Even its special attribute is a game changer, even if it spouts illegible banter all the time. But none of them excited me as much as the last two did.

One of the was a Mage in all his wisdom and glory, wrapped around in a Mage's cloak and carrying a large tome in one hand while the other hand holds a magic orb which glows with a mysterious glow. The mask on his face might have been ornamental décor but it could've also been an equipment but the red glowing eyes of the mages give a certain creepy yet powerful vibes.

The other one was a tall man wearing a tight-fitting leather armor while his face is hidden by a long and gilded hood, only making a part of his gilded mask visible to me. He was armed with all kinds of weapons like a sword by his side, a row of throwing knives attached to his vest, a flintlock pistol, a shield strapped to his back and a magical staff. He was also carrying a butt-load of miscellaneous things like potion bottles, feathers, pouches and even books, all strapped to his belt like trophies. The most iconic though would be the small golden badge of a 'winking face with a tongue' emoji. I wonder if it's a teasing badge.

The first one is—

Name: The Magus of Arcanum

Occupation: Mage

Race: human

Base stats

Strength: 5

Agility: 10

Dexterity: 15

Vitality: 13

Charm/Charisma: 12

Intelligence: 19

Luck: 10

Special attribute: 1. Mana Sense—Prolonged research on Mana and its properties have given these magi the power to sense the flow and path of Mana, giving them the ultimate ability to control Mana to the finest details.

Special attribute: 2. Voice of Mana—Through countless research and magic augmentation, the Magi of Arcanum finally discovered the true secret of chantless spell casting, giving them the special ability to conjure spells without even uttering a single word. This attribute is related to Mana Sense.

Special attribute: 3. Sage—Can only be unlocked by proceeding through the Arcane Magus legacy.

Hidden attribute: 1. Every Thing Has a Price—the world of mages and magi work on the principle of equal exchanges. Everything can be traded for something of equal value and for every mistake made, something of equal value will be taken away. The Path of Magus is not to be taken lightly.

Hidden attribute: 2. Too Much Power is Dangerous—Your very existence is a threat to the world order and rulers and nobility will think of every possible way of removing your existence. Joining an organization is only going to bring further problems. Rulers would regularly hire professional assassins and hitmen to kill you IF they ever come to know of your existence. Friendly advice, Beware of magicians.

And lastly,

Name: Trickster (Mysterious)

Race: Half-human/Demi-human (Half-monster)

Base stats

Strength: 12

Dexterity: 15

Agility: 16

Vitality: 10

Charm/Charisma: X

Intelligence: 17

Luck: 13

Special attributes: 1. Profession of Masks—The Trickster has no 'real' identity. It can change its identity and therefore its stat by wearing the masks of other people. This transformation allows him/her to inherit a part of his target's skill, disposition, luck, karma and even his memory. The process of inheriting, though, is completely based on the user himself/herself.

Nerf 1. The user must create each mask by hand. Masks made from magic or acquired from people who do not have the race of 'Trickster' will only be deemed as a décor and not an equipment.

Nerf 2. Only 1 transformation is allowed per day (Non-upgradable). Note: Reversing back into the user's original form is considered as a transformation. Note: Consumable items can be used to extend the number of uses temporarily.

Nerf 3. Transforming to a particular identity repeatedly might disrupts the user's own identity. Warnings will be given but if the user dives too deep into a single identity, he/she might never come out of that illusion himself/herself. In such a condition, the user's original profession will be erased and penalties will be issued depending on the severity of the situation.

Special attributes: 2. Human Bloodline—Since the Trickster has half the bloodline of humans, it can learn almost all kinds of human skills without any repercussions. Nerf 1. Human skills with title of 'Bloodline Exclusive' will be partly nerfed or restricted. Nerf 2. Royalty, Imperial or Divine skills exclusive to Humans cannot be learned under any circumstances.

Special attributes: 3. Monster Bloodline—Mysterious bloodline. Can only be unlocked by proceeding in the Trickster Legacy.

Hidden attributes: 1. Discrimination—Human royalty and most of the human population have a culture of discrimination towards beastmen and demi-humans. Even small rumors can set off a cascade of events leading to your demise. But fortunately, not all areas are cordoned off to beastmen and demi-humans. Some villages in the frontier have amiable relations with all kinds of races, including beastmen and demi-humans. Though, humans have never been a trusty race so you wanna be careful with your words.

Hidden attributes: 2. Nature's Call—User will be forced to do quests which might tip the balance of nature. Dismissing such quests can lead to a weakening of the user's vitality.

Hidden attributes: 3. Nature's Warmth—User is able to create various potions from simple herbs and fruits from nature and will see a 100% boost in abilities when the potion is made completely from herbal ingredients. User has an inbuilt knowledge of herbs and plants.

I watch the two races close to ten minutes now and still couldn't decide on which on to take. The old man who had been silent for the whole time couldn't help but voice his opinion,

"Divine Son, do you perhaps need my—"

"No, I don't!" I immediately shut him off. By this time, I'm quite confident that this guy is heavily biased towards the elven races. Don't know why but whatever he says is somehow related to elves or their achievements and I ain't gonna take any of that shit now!!

After analyzing for another five minutes before voicing my decision, "I have decided what I'm gonna take!"

"Really?" the eyes of the old man twinkles with excitement.

"Yes, I will take the Magus of Arcanum!" I say with a steely tone.

"Oh!" the old man cried surprised but I'm sure he was not. I mean, the choice was obvious wasn't it. "Very well, Divine Son, let me just mark it down." He said as he conjured a golden booklet and wrote my decision but by that time I had already moved towards the portals.

I wave at him from near the portal and ask loudly, "Hey old man, does this portal teleport me to the next stage?"

The old man looked up from his booklet and replied with a nod, "Yes, Divine Son, those portals would teleport you—Wait! What are you doing in the Trickster's portal?!!"

I smile wickedly at him and said with gloating expression, "Ha! You got bamboozled, asshat!!!"

Before the surprised face of the old man, I walk into the Trickster's portal, officially selecting the race of Trickster. The world around me turned blindingly white for a moment before it turned back to normal. When I opened my eyes, I found myself, quite strangely, at the same place where I first came. The floating island was the same as ever with fluffy clouds fluttering in the vast bluish-white sky. Along with a grumpy old man.

"I don't understand your reasoning of cussing me, Divine Son." Said the grumpy old man with a slight pout.

I looked at him wide-eyed for a moment, even rubbed my eyes to destroy all illusions but he obviously wasn't one. I look around and it didn't take long enough to notice the quite visible absence of all the gilded statues of heroic races, signifying that either I fell into a deep sleep while this old man conjured some husky stone dudes to pick the statues up and relocate them or I was teleported into a different floating island but the old man was faster than me. To me personally, the former one seems more plausible but I don't know, man. I'm not the dev.

Finally, wrapping my head around this strange occurrence, I looked at the old man with a surprised expression and asking with a 'o' face, "Who're you again?"

The old man frowned and replied, "Don't act like you don't know me—you know what, whatever! You have the inborn talent of the Trickster; I only hope that you will do justice to your predecessors."

There are more Tricksters in the New World other than me? Welp, looks like I CAN make new friends.

"Anyway, we shall get to next phase, character customization." He asked with absolute calmness but when I heard it, my eyes gleamed with excitement.

"Yes, please!"
