Carson was quick to reassure Ivy that it was fine. "Don't worry about it! We can still have fun."

'Sensitive to noise, huh? Is that why she always eats lunch near the library and hangs out in there instead of the cafeteria? It would explain why she was a little spaced out in the restaurant…there were a lot of people in there. But what about during class? The only one talking then is the teacher.'

So he wasn't only academically smart, he was sharp too. This might pose a problem. She would have to be extra careful never to slip up in front of him.

Lydia had witnessed her accidentally respond to things she thought instead of said countless times over the years but had never suspected her friend at all. She might have thought it was weird for a second but always let it slide.

Ivy had the feeling that Carson wasn't the type to let things slide. She sighed inwardly. Why did the most interesting people have to be the most difficult?
