Some Mysteries Were Unsolvable

Adrian had very conflicted feelings after finally getting answers out of his mother. He knew bringing Ivy would get her to talk! But it was also difficult listening to her berate him and blame him in front of someone else for once.

Since his first visit he had tried getting answers out of her pretty much every week without success. That was the only reason he even dragged Ivy into this in the first place.

Rosa had been a lot chattier with a fellow telepath than she had ever been with him. She almost seemed normal, albeit very bitter, during that conversation. It wasn't fair that she totally played on Ivy's sympathies and acted like she wasn't a villain.

Adrian had been pissed off when they left…but he only took it out on Ivy because he wanted them to have a clean break. If everything that woman said was true he didn't want to take any chances.
