What a Wonderful World

The stars whispered with great interest at the quiet mortal below them. Was she worthy of her gift? Would she bring forth wars with devestating beauty? Perhaps lead them instead? Or cure millions with a touch? Maybe tame great beasts or become the empress of a thousand kingdoms? The stars blinked curiously at her fate. Under that chatty sky the girl awoke.

The girl looked up blankly at the superficial stars and wondered out loud at her circumstances, "Where the hell am I?"



And so begins the tale of a girl who fell from a distant sky and landed among the viscous rubies and brittle diamonds of death.
