Guilt

"Why is he so strong?"

Alpha questions himself as he sits in Rooney's workshop. Fanny and the others were here as well.

Angela is tidying Rooney's desk as she listens their conversation. Rooney is sleeping in his room, as it is early in the morning.

Saber is still hiding in the battlefield, waiting for heroes to fight him. No matter how strong or how many the enemies are, they still lost. Its been three days since he arrived.

"I've fought him once in the battlefield." Fanny said "He was a remarkable opponent. But he is different than before."

"He's like a different person." Layla said.

She looked at Alpha.

"What happened to him since he disappeared?"

"..."

Alpha grew silent as he knew why.

"What happened to you and Saber, Alpha?" Fanny questions him.

"We know that it is a sensitive subject. But we need to know. Saber is out there in the battlefield, killing every hero in his sight."

Alpha then remembers the time he and Saber part ways. He thought that if only he would've stopped him, things could've been good for Saber.

"It's okay, Alpha." Angela puts her hand in his shoulder.

"We need them to help us."

Alpha finally calms down.

"...Alright. I will tell you everything"

Alpha explains everything, including Saber's reason, about Lab 1718, and their past.

"Wait. So you guys are robots?" Layla questions Alpha.

"Technically Cyborgs and Android, yes." Alpha answers her.

"Isn't it already obvious?"

"I thought you were a man in a robot suit."

"What was he doing in the lab?" Fanny asks him

"I don't know. After our fight, he is gone, never seen or heard of him again. Until now."

"So, what now?" Angela asks

"Saber hasn't stopped his rampage, and we're too weak to even kill him."

Alpha then remembers his fight with Saber. After Alpha stabs Saber, he's still alive. He then saw black wings on Saber"s back. Alpha doubts that it is an illusion

Fanny gathers everyone for their upcoming battle with Saber.

"We will try and fight him again. Since we know his abilities, we might have-"

"That wasn't his ability." Alpha interrupts everyone.

"It was someone's." Alpha unknowingly mumbling to himself.

Everyone in the room is now confused.

"What are you saying?" Fanny asks him.

"I'm saying that his skills wasn't his own."

"He may be right." Angela supports Alpha's statement.

"We hit him many times, even after Cloude's team attacked him, and he still didn't die. Maybe it's because of his lifesteal?"

"That is not possible." Fanny said.

"Even if he has one, it is not possible to fully recover in just seconds. He's even in a brink of death on that situation."

Layla jokingly said,

"I mean, he's not like he copied Alucard's "Fission wave", right?"

Hearing that, Alpha thought of something. He realized that what he saw wasn't an illusion at all.

"While we're fighting, I saw something on Saber's back."

Alpha gets the attention of everyone.

"Its like, black wings sticking out of him as I stabbed him through his chest."

Angela's eyes are wide open.

Layla said, "Come on, Alpha. Leave the jokes to me, would ya?"

"You saw it too?" Angela asks Alpha.

"I thought it was just my imagination so I ignored it."

Fanny is in deep thoughts.

"Knowing that, he may have Alucard and Argus' abilities."

"Or even worse, he has the abilities of every hero in the land of dawn."

Everyone is in despair after hearing Fanny's conclusion.

"Aww, C'mon! That's totally cheating!" Layla said.

"Is there any way we can defeat him?!"

Knowing that Saber is unbeatable, they don't know what to do. Almost every hero in the land of dawn challenged Saber and yet they still lost. If he continues this rampage, it will disrupt the balance of the land.

Saber's words then came to Alpha's mind.

"Heal your wounds, Alpha. Get strong. After that, we will settle the matter."

Then the lab crossed his mind.

"Maybe..."

"Maybe we have a chance."

Everyone looks at Alpha.

"We don't have any, Alpha." Fanny is also in despair.

"Its impossible to beat him. He is too powerful."

"The lab. There may be some clues on how to beat him."

Layla heard this, stands up to motivate her teammates.

"He's right.

Everyone has a weakness. We just have to find it."

Everyone's hope shines again as they heard her.

Alpha smiles "It is fortunate to have an optimistic ally like you"

"Hehe." Layla smirks.

Fanny stands up.

"Alright! We will go to Laboratory 1718 tomorrow!

But that doesn't mean that you guys skip your training!"

"Lets go outside. It's an open field so it'll be perfect for honing our skills."

Fanny then goes outside and everyone follows.

Everyone is in high spirits, knowing hope will help them in the future.

Rooney heard everything.

"So, you're going there again, Alpha?"

He talks himself in discomfort.

He sits in his desk and continues to tinker his inventions.
