10 | Contest

"Taehyung's been busy nowadays, whats gotten into him?" Hoseok asked as he sipped from his cup of coffee

"Probably trapped himself inside his room because he couldn't handle the teacher stuff" Yoongi yawned and stood from the couch, he was tired of watching the Television all day "Y/N, Jungkook, guess you two have to go ahead, it's not like he's coming down anytime soon" both Y/N and Jungkook rushed out of the house, since they were almost late

"Hey Noona, your birthday is near, do you think Jimin hyung will visit?" Jungkook asked out of the blue

"Actually, I thought he might've forgotten about me" He frowned "I was just joking Kookie" Y/N said

"If you want, you, me, Somin, and the hyungs could eat somewhere, that'd be a first" Jungkook suggested

"My birthday's not until a week from now" She scoffed "And nothin's really special, the same things happen every year, Jimin buys me a cake, I blow candles, tada!" She sighed

"How about your parents?"

"I don't recall them on my past birthdays, probably because they were busy and I was young to notice? Jimin said they were there, and I believe him"

They talked and talked until they reached the University, almost every student were surrounding the bulletin board which usually doesn't have anything on it. But today, it was different, for some reason, it was filled

"What's happening here?" Y/N asked loudly, no one heard it because everyone was causing a ruckus, Somin eventually got out of the crowd "Y/N! Jungkook!" She beamed "I'm guessing you both just arrived, look" She pointed to the piece of paper she was holding

"Can I borrow that for a sec?" Y/N curiously asked Somin "No problem, tell me if you're thinking of joining" She handed the paper

Important announcement to all Seoul University students

For the remaining months of July, the school faculty has agreed to cancel and/or delay your classes, the upcoming days will be needed for you all to get ready for the contests that we have planned for you

Specifically, there will be 2 contests. One is for all of you, and the other will be for selected students only

The first one will be a singing contest . song covers are accepted, and no points will be added if you make your own

The second one will remain a secret for now, you will all know about it once the first contest has finished

Your class advisers will inform further, and another reason why we, the faculty, decided to do this, is for you all to improve your grades in a unique/different way

that would be all

"Wow this school is really something" Y/N mentioned when she handed over the paper to Jungkook "Am I allowed to NOT join?"

"Well yes, if you don't want extra credit" Somin shrugged "The school thinks we all need that so that's why they didn't mention if we don't do it, thanks Jungkook"

"Your welcome" He said and tugged Y/N's shirt "What?" "Noona, why don't we join? It'd be a fun experience"

"You could do it on your own" Y/N pouted "I don't think I can sing" she stated

"Think" Jungkook and Somin grinned "Plus, I can't perform if someone isn't with me"

"How about Somin then?" Y/N raised her eyebrow, she'll do whatever she can to not join, no one else knows, but for some reason she gets frightened at the thought of being on a stage, she might look like a fool, and she doesnt want that

"Sorry, I have a partner already" She rubbed the back of her forehead "Please Y/N? Do it for us" Jungkook and Somin pleaded

"Gosh this is embarassing" Y/N massaged her temple "Alright! you two win!" She gave in

"Yes!" They jumped up and down, in a normal person's eyes, you'd think that they were toddlers who first tasted ice cream

"Can you two act normal now? I don't like babysitting kids everyday" They stopped, but Somin slipped and lost her balance, luckily Jungkook was able to catch her before she fell

Jungkook helped Somin stand up and Somin smiled at him awkwardly, Jungkook blushed slightly and looked away before anyone noticed, little did he know, Somin did the same thing

Meanwhile.... Y/N was enjoying the scene, she bit her lip 'Aww cute, and she says me and Kookie makes a good match! Too bad I couldn't video this' she thought

"Well I better head first see you two around" Somin stated and left

Y/N walked to Jungkook and gave him a aw-you-enjoyed-that-didnt-you? look

"Dont say anything about it noona"

"I wont, I'll just text it to the boys" She chuckled "Dont!" "Okay I'm kidding, let's go to the room already, I don't want to miss an announcement" Y/N grabbed the sleeve of Jungkook's hoodie and dragged him inside their classroom.
