22. V.E.N.O.M. headquarters

We entered the headquarters, I see a giant hall with lots of small passages, now, my task is to rescue Lunox without awakening her dark powers.

I go to the direction where Lunox is supposed to be according to the meeting. It's the same path as Alaster's untill we reach the next room.

We witnessed a giant creature blocking our path, it had the features of a bull, yet the body of a man. It had unusual green skin and two colossal horns. It was wearing a blue cape, with a shoulder piece of steel on each side. It carried a hammer, simple in design, yet somehow fitting on this great creature.

It's Minotaur, and a missile like object came towards Alaster, he jumped back which made the missile hit the floor, and appeared another Aldous, an extremely well built man, he wore a golden mask, kind of like a robot, with red eyes. His arm and looked like it was merged with the earth itself, covered in rocks and held together by the flames of hell.

Dealing with them will consume a hell lot of time, but looks like we're not left with any other choice.

As soon as Minotaur started swinging its hammer, a mystic bird appeared in front of us as it keeps getting bigger. It froze both Minotaur and Aldous as it keeps flying in high speed. It's Cornelius, Aiden's pet Phoenix.... that means...

Aiden appeared behind us,

"Surprise! go ahead to do your tasks, I'll hold them off here."

"Thank you." I say as I keep going forward.

As I keep going, I entered a narrow path and someone help my mouth from behind, so that I won't make sounds.

It's Hanabi, she says she'll help me reach where Lunox is located. But can I trust her?

"What's the proof that you're not lying here?"

"The fact that I didn't kill you. I gain nothing by keeping you alive according to you."

"Okay, why aren't you killing me?"

"I don't want to work for V.E.N.O.M. anymore, trusting me will be up to you. We can't waste time here."

"Okay I trust you. lead the way then."

With Hanabi leading the way it has become easier for me to reach Lunox's place.

As we got closer to my destination, two figures were waiting for us.

"Dr. Leo was right! We had a traitor." says Angela - She looked like a young girl despite of being an Android, with a small build. She was clothed in black with purple lines along it. Her hair looked unnatural and was coated with a vibrant purple color. She had two unsettling antennae and transparent wings with a hint of purple. Along with a flying bee around her which looks similar to her appearance.

Another one is Grock, the monstrous creature in a form of giant lizard, walking on two legs and holding a giant cylinder.

"We didn't expect this from you, Hanabi." Says Grock in a disappointed tone.

"But it's too late!"

After saying that, Grock started to get bigger in size and Angela casted a purple wake at Hanabi, causing Hanabi's invisible shield to fade away.

Hanabi, not attempting to accept defeat, prepares herself to fight Grock.

A red smoke appeared in the area, it's Natalia, digging her claws inside Angela's metal body, splitting it in half. And instantly disappearing after that.

Grock, on other hand, became even bigger and swings his cylinder towards Hanabi at full force, while Hanabi blocks it with her Higanbana, she tells me, "I'll be fine, go ahead and find Lunox."

I do as she say and proceed to move forward.

After a while I reached my destination, this is supposed to be the room where Lunox is located.

The slide door opens as I enter the passcode given by Natalia, I step inside.

"Welcome to our headquarters! Lucifer. We meet again, and this will be our last time." Says Gusion.

"Of course." I say as I unsheathe my swords.

"Seems like we both have increased the number of our weapon."

Then he started throwing a lot of daggers one by one, I managed to dodge all of them, didn't have time to count but there was definitely more than twenty. then he threw ten more daggers at me, five at each interval, I block the ones which are likely to hit me with both of my swords.

I dash towards him attempting to attack with my swords, he teleports behind me to throw more daggers but I immediate cast quad shadow and teleport to the shadow which is farthest from him.

He came closer, making him the center of four shadows, and the throws ten daggers at every shadow, dismissing all of them. Glad I didn't teleport, I moved sideways to dodge it and now once again rush towards him to attack with my swords, I stroke his body with both of my sword at once, breaking a piece of armor from his chest, then he recalls all the daggers he casted back to his hands, while some of them gets stuck on my back.

I let out a muffled groan of pain and fall on one knee, the daggers disappeared after sometime.

I got up to land few more hits on him, he blocks them successfully using his daggers, throwing multiple daggers at me once again I reflect them with my swords, making them drop on the floor with a deafening clang.

As I attempt to attack him, he goes a bit back and threw lots daggers in multiple direction, covering a huge area surrounding me.

I get hit by many of them, letting out a groan and trying to withstand the pain, he doesn't seem to recall his daggers and looks like he's about to throw more since I'm in a vulnerable state, I merge myself with shadow as he starts to throw his daggers, all the daggers which were stuck in my body fell on the floor, while he missed his daggers as well. I reappear behind him, stabbing his legs from behind which makes him fall on both knees, then I keep slashing his body untill his armor wore out and he completely drop on the floor, then I heal myself with a healing crystal and start walking towards the deeper part of this room.

"Why... aren't you finishing me..?" Asks Gusion.

"I don't want to end your life." I say as I walk away.
