Jez Terask

Jakes was slowly becoming lucid, but not all of him, only a small part of him was, in fact, present, the rest of him seemed to be locked away, but Jake was yet to realize this matter, he couldn't. At this point in time, there was not enough of Jake to fully understand what Jake was. What little was going on in Jakes mind was it's cold, it's bright, and it hurts, these thoughts were eventually replaced by hunger and tiredness. Jake eventually slept. His brain was that of an infant, and he has yet to be able to form thoughts and opinions, and similarly, he developed like any other toddler.

It was not until he was three that there was any real change, by now he knew that he was no longer Jake, but Jez Terask, he had two loving parents which were a foreign experience to him. When he had been Jake, his parents rarely paid him any attention, they were always too busy with work that he had rarely seen them, he was taught by machines that can't show any emotion, this led to a very lonely childhood. But that was the old him, now he had a dotting mother named Olivia and a supportive father named Gram, these two people slowly changed how he thought, who he was, gone was the self, sociopath of the past, replaced by someone who was caring, who truly liked helping people, the jake of the past wasn't completely gone but was instead trapped behind Jez Terask.

Jez was always intrigued by magic, the ability to take the standard laws and rules of physics and to warp and change them to the will of a person. It was no wonder that after he was six years old and he qualified to take the magic test that he was jumping with joy, to Jez, Magic was a path for him to protect what mattered to him and preserve lives. The magic aptitude test is separated into two different parts, the power endurance, and specialization. The endurance section measures how power you have access to at that time, the specialization determines what aspect of magic you were most suited for. In Morris (the city the Terask's live in) the magic aptitude tests were held in the city center, which was rather close to where the Terask's house is. The morning of the test, Jez woke up early. He was finally going to take the magic aptitude test.
