Blood

"Ha! At last I have killed him. After all these years I have patiently waited to kill him and now I have done it. Now I can be king!" Lu Youran said happily.

He continued to talk to himself

" There is no way they could find out that I'm the one who killed him. Everyone will think that the enemy forces wiped him off the surface of the earth."

He turned to his brother's corpse

" Don't worry brother, bow you can rest in peace and I'll deal with the rest."

Lu Youran was lost in thoughts that he didn't notice someone eavesdropping on his conversation. The person was none other than Ming Jie, the servant of the mansion.

He saw Lu Youran leaving the mansion in the middle of the night with a cloak on and decided to follow him.

He followed him all the way to the Tea tree forest and didn't expect what he saw before his eyes. The king...was murdered by his own brother. No one would ever imagine that the mighty Lu Youran could kill his own brother just for the throne.

He thought he was hallucinating at first but when he heard what Lu Youran said to Lu Mouxian's corpse he was dumbfounded. All he wanted to do was to run away from this situation. He turned in the direction of the mansion, but when he turned, he accidentally stepped on a twig which made a loud noise in the forest.

Lu Youran heard the noise and became suspicious.

" Who's there?" he asked but he got no response

Ming Jie was so scared that he got goosebumps all over his body as he didn't want to get caught.

Lu Youran was going towards the direction where Ming Jie was currently hiding.

Ming Jie thought of what to do.

" what do I do know. If I get caught, I'm done for. I'll be killed."

Ming Jie saw a branch nearby and picked it up quietly. He threw it in another direction and when Lu Youran diverted his attention, Ming Jie ran away as fast as he could, bot looking back to see if Lu Youran had caught him or not.

Lu Youran went in the direction of where the sound came from. Instead of finding a culprit, he found a group of baby Pallas cats playing. He sighed in frustration

" I thought there really was someone spying on me, I'm happy it's just these cats. It wouldn't be fun killing two people in a day."

The cats looked up at him with fear in their eyes. When Lu Youran's eyes met with theirs, they all scrambled in different directions.

Lu Youran looked at the scattered cats and laughed

" This is how I will rule Fujian. No one will care look me in the eye. All my subjects will cower in fear when they see me passing by."

He looked at his bloody hands and back at Lu Mouxian's corpse and grunted and went towards the stream where Lu Mouxian was killed.

Sinking slowly into the stream, Lu Youran's muscles relaxed and he sighed in relief. He had gotten a lot of blood on himself and he wasn't prepared to walk into town looking like a mess, so he decided to take a dip in the stream for a short time.

The blood from his wounds diffused into the stream as he watched the clouds while dreaming about how the future if Fujian will be when he starts his reign.

When all the blood was completely washed off his skin, he decided to return to Fujian. He picked up his clothes and put on the same cloak from before, luckily there was no blood stains on it. He picked up his bloody sword and rinsed it with the water from the stream. He put on his silk shoes and put his sword back in its scabbard. He looked at his brother for the last time and said "Thank you brother Mouxian." Lu Youran thought it was quite weird for a dead man to be smiling, he shrugged the thought off and ate a piece of bread he found in the abandoned carriage on his way.

Lu Youran was very a sneaky and smart man. He crossed the border of Fujian unnoticed and continued with his journey to the mansion.

When he got to the mansion, he was surprised that the news of Lu Mouxian's death hasn't reached them yet. Instead of mourning his death, they were preparing for his arrival from the meeting with the other world leaders.

Wang Li was the most excited as she couldn't wait for her father to bring back the delicious sweets for her and Wang Jing and the beautiful kimono for her mother from Korea that he promised. Wang Jing was at the balcony reading a book and waiting for her father's return, while Ning Xi was happily preparing one of his favourite dishes.

The Lu mansion was full of happiness, little did they know that their father and leader of Fujian, Lu Mouxian was dead.
