After chatting for over 2 hours Ramos started getting tired and restless due to the long journey. He promised Arch on the weekend to take him for a sightseeing and go to a bird sanctuary, and spend the evening at a beach and drive back home after dinner.

Two days passed by and it was Friday night and Arch packed his luggage for the outing tomorrow. That night his father looked somewhat older then what he appeared a couple of days ago. He looked like in his early thirties then late twenties. In mare less then a week it looked like he has aged for over 5-7 years.

The day started early when they left for their journey towards Karnala a small hill with a small fort built on top and a bird sanctuary located at the foothills. After they arrived at the sanctuary Ramos introduced Arch to the caretaker Samuel, who was also a childhood friend of Ramos. As they had some important things to discuss and a lot of catching up the parted and asked Arch to go around the sanctuary and see some of the rare species of birds that are on the brink of extinction.

While wandering around Arch met a girl who was the same age as him, dark brown eyes and waist long hair. He was mesmerized by her looks however just as he was about to approach her he saw she was pampering an injured bird where she had the wings bandaged and had sorrowful expression on her beautiful face. Arch stood there watching her, a minute later a bus halted at the gates of the sanctuary and she carefully kept the bird back in its nest like cage and hurried over to the gates and in the process she dropped her handkerchief where her name was stitched "Geet".

The orphanage bus that arrived had brought the kids on a field trip or so called picnic. Vinay was among the kids that came to this place. he was quite as he stayed secluded from the other kids who were joyfully playing around. He was looking in the opposite direction of the gate, towards the hill where Arch was supposedly heading next with his father to the top of the hill, where stood an old fort built by the Marathas during the reign of the great king Shivaji. Arch came closer to Vinay and tapped his shoulder, " Brother, I and my father are heading next to the fort, would you like to tag along? " said Arch in a curious tone. Ramos stood a few feet away saw them and approached them. He asked Vinay if he would like to join them. Ramos wanted someone to go along as was aware of his son's loneliness partly due to the gap that had formed after his appearance changed to a matured man then a youth which Arch had met few days ago.

Samuel also brought his daughter Geet and asked her to guide them as she was familiar with the hills and to avoid any mishaps as it was a steep walk uphill and one needed to follow a set route to reach the fort unscathed.

After seeing the two kids who were younger to him, Vinay nodded happily. This was the first time after his parents death, that someone was kind to him and he couldn't hold back his emotions and excitement to go uphill.

After Geet showed them a roughly drawn map and the path they had to follow, Arch excitedly asked "Wanna race to the top?"

It was a 2km track where Vinay nodded happily and Geet agreed being experienced with the surroundings, Ramos on the other hand had to carry the luggage and let them carry on as he relied on Geet. They started their race as soon as Ramos agreed to them taking a headstart. They didn't know of his what events were waiting for them to unfold as the three of them raced towards their fate uphill towards the fort.
