Team Bonding

Elijah arrived at 7:15 P.M at Walter Tull Pub

Jacobs spots him first and walked up to him

"Hey Shields" Jacobs greeted

"Hey"

"What are you drinking?" Jacobs asked

"Lemonade"

Elijah has always been a non alcoholic person

Jacobs walks up to him hands Elijah a glass of lemonade

"We were just betting if you will come" Jacobs points to the table where the rest of the guys are seated

"I don't know anyone here I will probably just watch T.V at home better to come and get to know you guys" Elijah replied

Jacobs drags Elijah to where the player are seated he remembers Jake Robinson, Seth Nana Ofori-Tumasi and Lewis Wilson mostly the younger guys the oldest is Byron Webster from whom he can remember their names.

Elijah shake with them there are about 7 guys in total and we start talking.

Jacobs started with the question

"Shields how was Mexico?"

Everyone looks like they wanted to know so

Elijah said "It was a good experience to able to meet the best U-17 players in the world but me personally I didn't get to play so that was bullshit"

Lewis adds "I get what you mean am mostly on the bench"

Elijah gives him a sympathetic approval nod

"The football world follows the law of the jungle the strongest player gets to play the most" he added

Everyone agrees the topic is a bit depressing Elijah changed it by asking

"Who chase chicks the most here?"

They all laugh and look to Jacobs it takes a minute for him to realize everyone is looking at him he blinks and cries out

"Not fair guys!" he cried out

They all laugh harder, most of the younger guys on the team just joined for a season so they are still getting to know each other one of the disadvantage of lower tier teams is that a lot of player come and go every season plus short term loans.

The atmosphere continues to be lively as they talk about interesting things from different teams they have been in, the remaining two guys were Ben Tozer and Paul Turnbull. Some fans walked up to us to ask for pictures or autograph the most popular guys was Jacobs and Ben, Paul was a little popular too

Elijah was totally ignored he didn't mind but it was sad to see Lewis ignored too he patted him on the shoulder and told him "Our time will come",

He gave him a forced smile and continued chatting with the rest of the team.

They all played a game of most famous player you ever met, Jacobs' was Drogba, Lewis' was Joe cole, Ben's was Torres , Paul's was Cristiano, Jake's was Cahill, Seth's was Defoe, Elijah's was Alan Shearer and Byron was Crouch.

The guys left the pub at about 10:00 P.M there is training tomorrow the match against oxford city is 4 days away.

Elijah got home reminiscing about his new teammates looks like it was a good decision to come here, he got a call from his mum told her about his day, the new teammates, training and all that.

The next morning was much relaxing for Elijah and training went better in the middle of training Jacobs and Lewis walked up to him

"Am staring to see glimpses of how you end up in the England team" Jacobs said Elijah gave him a smile but remained silent

"Are we playing with two strikers on Tuesday?" he asked

"We are not sure the team sheet is not out yet but I think the coach might want to try a few tactics that we are not used too"  Elijah nods to show his understanding

Training resumes for the next two days the team left to go to Oxford on Monday Afternoon they got there same evening Oxford is a county in South East England with Northamptonshire to the North east and Buckinghamshire to the east. After arriving we headed to the hotel Elijah was in the same room with Lewis,
