Forest of No Return

After the bond was formed the manager put the beast in a ring.

As it was not normal to have beasts out once they have been purchased. They would be kept in the rings as it would be better and taken out to use when necessary.

This purchase had nearly robbed all her money! Her pouch was now light with only a few coins.

She was definitely gonna have to make money from somewhere because depending on her parents wasn't going to be easy.

"Thank you. I'll take my leave now."

After saying that Yulin left the shop.

She walked towards the outskirts of town before she used her spiritual sense to communicate with the beast.

"So what is your response to me? If you refuse then I can terminate the bond and you can be set free right now."

The beast was surprised when she had told him about his abuses. He thought she was just another human that needed a beast to do it's work.

But after such treatment from her, he felt she was genuine and someone he may be able to trust.

"Companions we are then." He replied after some thinking.

Yulin was shocked to hear the beast speaking, she figured he would do a head nod or something but to speak to her!?

That was something she didn't expect.

Great, let's head to the forest of No Return then. You should know where it's located right?"

She then took out the beast and sat on him.

"Oh wait, you don't have a name yet! Let's name you Phi Phi. I don't know what kind of beast you are but I know you are special. That name also suits you."

After that, they flew off to the forest.

Of course, she wasn't going to fly all the way there, but once they get closer she will walk the rest of the way there.

There are beasts surrounding that place and if she flies there it will attract too much attention. Walking there will allow her less attention and she can hide if there are beasts and others who wants the treasure.

They finally arrived close to the forest.

Looking around she found a nice place to land and got off Phi Phi. Instead of putting him back in the ring, she transported him to the space within the dimension.

Of course being her companion will come with perks! As beasts can cultivate as well, that space will allow him to grow stronger.

As she walked closer and closer to the forest, she can feel the atmosphere change and beasts may come from any direction.

She would need to stay alert.

This was of course a way for her to train as well. Two birds with one stone?

Hehe. She smiled to herself.

Of course, if she wasn't an Empress in her past life, she would definitely be a bum roaming the world and living freely.

"I know of a way you can go that would lead you directly to the inside of the forest. That way you can avoid the beasts and the treasure is most likely there as well."

Phi Phi suddenly transmitted this after some thought.

She seemed trustworthy, for allowing him to go to that dimension he was grateful.

He felt certain changes after being placed there! His past wounds were healing and he felt more alive than usual.

No one would ever treat a beast like that of an equal and she did! He was wary of her at first but he felt she was different from the previous owners.

Of course, he wouldn't call her master though.

Phoenixes are legendary animals. Anyone would kill for a beast like him. He wouldn't let anyone know of this secret.

Her cultivation was also lower than his.

If only he wasn't captured when he was younger then he would've been free and lived deep within woods.

Other beasts feared him, and his pride would not let him be controlled by anyone.

"That would be great Phi Phi! Saves me some time. I would be able to arrive home earlier than expected once I find the treasure! Thanks!"

He felt quite annoyed with this name. Why was she acting so familiar with him too? And he didn't even agree to the name and yet she kept calling him that?

Although he was annoyed he felt a sense of warmth.

With his directions Yulin was able to avoid beasts and finally entered deep within the forest.

Of course there were other cultivators looking for the treasure too but many were in deep fights with beasts and several left after getting injured.

Her dad and some uncles were also out there looking for the treasure too.

But with the path she took, no one else knew and were able to detect that anyone could have entered the center of the forest.

Once they got closer to the center of the forest, she found that there were many elixirs, weapons, and fruit trees leading to the center.

Of course, she had to take these items!

'What's the use of coming all the way here when I don't get a reward for doing so?'

She transported anything to the space that she found to be of use to her and her family.

Hehehe. 'That was easier than the time within the library.'

After almost collecting all of the items, she picked a fruit from the last fruit tree and took a bite from it before transporting that last tree.

With that bite, a strong surge of energy entered her body.

She quickly sat in a meditative position.

This fruit was certainly special!

'I remember, it's called purple star! It allows the person to jump a few levels after consuming it and strengthens the body. This is very useful for those in the Houtian and Xuan stage.'

'It's also used to make elixirs! Only a few are able to eat or even get these fruits. The fruits are priceless items.'

However she was able to transport eight of these trees into the space. If anyone knew, they would kill her for the fruits.

If sold in the shops, it would cost a hefty price for one.

After consuming the rest of this fruit and meditating Yulin broke through to the Xuan stage.

If anyone in her family knew, they would automatically consider her a genius! It only took her a day to go from Houtian to Xuan stage!

Those that had been mocking her would probably have to eat their own words for calling her useless.

In their family there were only a few geniuses that were in the Xuan stage and many of these geniuses joined well known sects already.

This also creates fame and reputation for their clan.
