The final school days

After the dance the school year was coming close to an end.

This school year was very different than what I had thought about it. I met a nice girl named Becky and we are going to start our future during the summer. Becky's parents are going to support Becky and I having our children.

I wonder still about Becky's and my kids' future with their disability being down syndrome. They would have an early death ahead of them.

On the other side of my future kids and Becky there is Carly who hates my guts right about now. The thing was that I haven't seen her since the dance.

Oh, by the way the school is very peaceful, and the kids are treating the school like its normal. Mr. Summers thanked me for putting his job back into place.

I ran into Mr. Summers on my way to lunch.

"Mr. Summers. It's nice to see you." I say.

"October, I can't thank you enough for what you have done for the school and me." Mr. Summers thanked me.

"I just was me. They needed someone to understand." I state.

"I tell them if they need anything to come to me. You are like me in a different way." Mr. Summers told me.

"I will say this school will be peaceful for now on." I say.

"That's right. You must explain your story October." Mr. Summers suggests.

My story? It was a story of how a boy meets a girl and helps rebuild a school by the powers of both sides of the school.

"I think it would be a possibility Mr. Summers." I agreed.

Mr. Summers shook my hand.

"Here's a deal. If you write the book, then you can come back at any time for a book tour. You could even leave a copy here." Mr. Summers offered.

"It's a deal. I should go to lunch. Mrs. Holiday is waiting to see me." I state.

"Oh. Tell her a good word about me." Mr. Summers says.

Mr. Summers starts to walk away.

"Mr. Summers." I called.

Mr. Summers freezes, and then walks back swiftly.

"You have a crush on Mrs. Holiday?" I ask

"That's-" Mr. Summers starts.

I folded my arms and give Mr. Summers a guilty stare.

"True." Mr. Summers says.

"I'll tell her and set up something. Maybe you shouldn't hold in your feelings." I suggested.

"But she's still married." Mr. Summers whined.

"Becky told me she's single. She just kept the name because she was afraid to tell anyone." I told Mr. Summers.

"You really would do this for me? I don't-" Mr. Summers stammers.

"You're welcome. I'll be back." I say.

I walked into the cafeteria, and then walked out with Mrs. Holiday.

"Well Mr. Summers I didn't know you had feelings about me. I accept. How about Friday night?" Mrs. Holiday blushed.

"I'm free. I'll see you Friday." Mr. Summers replied.

"By the way it's Miranda." Mrs. Holiday says.

"Bruce." Mr. Summers says.

Mrs. Holiday walks back into the cafeteria.

"I feel better about myself." Mr. Summers states.

"I told, you to just tell her and it worked. I will see you around." I say.

I walked into the cafeteria.

"What was the thing about with our teacher and the principal?" Becky asks me.

"It was like you and I when we started, but only better than how it began." I reply.

"I hope it can be good for the both. I have hope for us, them and our kids." Becky states.

I shushed Becky.

"The kids are his Becky?" Valeria asks.

"Yes." Becky replied.

Valeria was silent for a moment. She thought about a lot of things.

I couldn't tell by her thoughts what they were.

"Oh my god! What is it?" Valeria asks.

"I wanted that to be a secret. That is why it won't be revealed." I say.

"I can wait to know October. I respect your wishes." Valeria says.

"I can only tell you that we are having twins." I told.

"All I can say is congratulations to you." Valeria says.

"Thanks Valeria." I reply.

The rest of lunch was spent talking about the future after high school.

One morning Valeria was standing by my locker.

"I thought I should say thanks for being there for us. We all owe you our respect." Valeria says.

I started cleaning out my locker.

"You're welcome. It wasn't easy for me." I reply.

"It's just that after Rose died we couldn't trust anyone with us and we took over the school." Valeria stutters.

Why couldn't she just tell me? I would have understood that.

"I understand. You are forgiven." I say.
