Moving

Liu Zhi Rou nervously sat across from Zhao Huojin and bounced her knee. "Thank you for bringing me here, but I really must be going," she said. Zhao Huojin raised his eyebrows and spoke,"So you plan to eat and run huh?" She smiled awkwardly. "Well since you helped me I am willing to help you, but I have very important business I need to handle." He sighed before asking for her number. "I'll need to call you for that favor," he explained. She gave it to him and left but not before taking two more donuts and slipping on her boots. Liu Zhi Rou mentally thanked him for the 'free food' as she called for a taxi.

Zhao Huojin stared as she left, thinking, 'what a strange woman'. He got out of his seat and started another day of work.

. . .

Liu Zhi Rou approached the Liu Family home where her grandparents stayed. She loved them both dearly but hadn't had any time to spend with them planning her wedding and auditions. Now that there would be no wedding she could use this opportunity to visit the old couple she adored. She rung the door bell and the butler appeared. She greeted him before stepping inside. She sat in the living room drinking the tea prepared as she waited. Soon she heard footsteps and the loud booming voice of her grandfather. She turned seeing him enter with her grandmother by her side. She stood up to greet them but was stopped. "Ah no need for formalities dear. What's wrong you're usually always busy and never have time to visit," her grandmother spoke. She decided she would tell them that she called the engagement off but not the reason why. "Well I decided to call off the wedding me and Chen Zhang Wei are over," she felt her heart break a little more saying those words. After all they had together she couldn't believe he would do something like that. But she can't lie and say it isn't true or didn't happen when she saw it clearly. She felt tears she couldn't let slip. The elderly couple in front of her noticed the deep traces of sadness and slight tears in her eyes. Her grandmother walked over to her and embraced her. Shocked out of her thoughts her tears started rolling down her face. Her face turned red from anger. She was so sick of crying but she couldn't control her emotions and she knew that. Several minutes later, her face was dry and her grandparents knew of his cheating. But as much as they tried she wouldn't tell who the lady was. They eventually gave up and instead got some maids to prepare a room for her stay.

After settling into the room prepared for her, Liu Zhi Rou pulled out her sketch book and started to think of designs. Her mind drifted off to the guy from before. He seemed interesting and she had recognised him from somewhere else. What she had forgotten was that he was the man she was supposed to marry, that is until she fell on love with someone else. She'd finished her design. It was a knee length dress that would hug curves and flair slightly at the bottom with thin translucent fabric making it fluff out. The back of the dress had a dip that stopped mid back and the front had a slight v neck and wouldn't show too much cleavage. The dress had thin straps that tied behind the back. She closed the book and looked at the time. 2:38pm. Liu Zhi Rou got up before preparing to leave. She silently drove towards her old home and as she pulled into the drive way she grew wary. She didn't want to face Chen Zhang Wei not because she was scared but because she feared her heart might still long for him and that would hurt more than anything else. Getting out of the car she walked up to the door, unlocked it then entered.

It was quiet as she walked up stairs and to the room she used to love sleeping in. Walking in Liu Zhi Rou saw it was empty so she grabbed her suit cases from the closet and started packing. She was done and started packing her second suit case when she heard a voice behind her. "Liu Zhi Rou," she turned around at the familiar voice of Chen Zhang Wei. She hesitantly stood up and faced him with the piercing feeling in her heart. For only a second several emotions flickered through her eyes. "Yes." It was only one word but it sent a chill down his spine as her voice was as cold as winter in the artic. He tried to reach out to grab her but she had already backed away from his grasp. He looked at her suit cases before asking,"Where are you going?"

"I'm moving." Her reply still held the frosty tone as she turned back around and continued packing. Hearing a thud behind her Liu Zhi Rou turned around. "Please! Please don't leave me," He begged. She silently stared before dropping the rest of her stuff in the suitcase before zipping it up and walking out the door with both. She made it down the stairs and was almost out the door when Chen Zhang Wei grabbed her upper arm. "L-let GO," she yelled. He pulled her towards her. She pushed him away before getting her things putting them in the car and driving away.
