The Ark Of Desire To Kill

It landed on and roped around any flesh that it could devour. This burned the villagers, melting their skin away.

"Die!" shouted the Valkyrie as she continued to assault the villagers.

The screams and cries made fueled the Valkyrie's desire to kill. To cause endless chaos. There was always a part of her that wanted to feel how it was like to kill. But, she had hidden it away for quite some time. Mainly because the adults had forbidden her to do so.

Not using her powers in critical combat made her soft, forgetting how it was like to kill. The adrenaline pumping through her little body. The surge of murder. Her hunger for war. But now, it's reemerging.

Her anger slowly turned into madness as she willingly burned each villager down. She flew about, not allowing any single human to come out of that ordeal unscathed. Her smile terrified the Time Mage as he retreated into the shadows.

The blaze managed to kill the entire mob, leaving nothing but ashes left to be lost in the wind. The graveyard was once again silent with the dead.

As the fire and destruction died down, Mavislin too slowly went back onto the ground. Her little body was tired of all the emotions and Energy as she sat in front of Abi's grave, holding onto the tattered remains of the blanket.

"Sowwy..." whispered the small child as she began to cry again.

"While it is fun, it's not something you want to do forever, right?' asked Raiyen, as he reappeared around the crying child.

"Come out from hidey spot?" asked Mavislin, still sniffling.

"It's not a 'hidey spot', it's called a Time Pocket," explained Raiyen, folding his arms in discontent.

"Where a fraction of Time is being taken out and used; a slice of Time itself. Creating a separate Time to move from pillar to post, requiring only a single second within the Time," explained Raiyen, looking at the sobbing girl.

Mavislin's confused face told the Time Mage that she was only a child.

"In that second that he'd taken, he can move around freely. When he unlocks it, Time will continue and the changes that he'd initiated would look like it was achieved in an instant," added a voice.

The Time Mage stood up instantly as he felt another rush of Elemental Aura from the voice. He summoned up his twin blades, preparing to stand against a formidable opponent.

"The power of the Time Element transcends the most strong of Elements. And it is such a rarity to encounter someone so young wielding an arduous and imposing Element," explained Ysabeau, popping out from an immense tree above them.

Her wings were huge and the evening purple color made it quite contrasting to the pale azure sky behind her. She then flew down, landing in front of the two kids.

"Mama!" yelled the little Valkyrie as she dived right into Ysabeau's open arms.

"Mama?!" asked Raiyen, obviously confused.

"Well, I am her guardian. But she can call me whatever she desires. You, on the other hand..."

Ysabeau extended her wings further, protecting the young Valkyrie instead. Raiyen took a step back. If that little girl was able to decimate an entire horde, who knows what her guardian could do?

"You are different. Why did you not hand her over to the mob?" asked Ysabeau, pointing to the boy.

"I don't like it when children are slaughtered for nothing. Those who are willing to kill a child because of hearsay should die miserably. I don't blame Mavislin for killing them," explained Raiyen, with a stern gaze.

"Mavis! You did what?!" yelled Ysabeau, turning to look at the guilty girl.

"They hurt Abi's grave..." sobbed the small child.

Ysabeau sighed and shook her head. She then ruffled the Valkyrie's hair.

"And I thought it was you who did, Time Boy."

"I could, but I never thought Mavislin was a Valkyrie. She seemed like a Mage, but I've got no clue on her powers."

"And besides, with what I've seen, I should be afraid of the two of you. A Valkyrie and a Bahamut are concerns when it comes to fighting them together," said Raiyen, smirking.

"I am more concerned about you trying to harm my little Mavislin here. Don't get cocky with me, Time Mage. I know the Time Element is enough to throw off the balance of Life and Death," warned Ysabeau.

Little Mavislin was peeking out from behind her gigantic wing. Her big, round eyes looked at the two of them with curiosity.

"Yep, but I won't harm her. I just wanted a friend," replied Raiyen, as if he'd been scolded by a mother.

"Bully!" yelled a small voice.

"What?!"

"Friends don't bully friends!" yelled the child, who stuck her tongue out at Raiyen.
