Z considered that but realized something was off. As the rest of the crew watched from the Old Chapel, Z began to worry. Raiyen became a monster, with his unstable attacks. This terrified Mavislin slightly. It reminded her of something or someone.
She closed her eyes. A quick picture of Benjamin flashed by. She quickly reopened her eyes and rubbed them. She whimpered slightly, trying her best to stay strong. Ysabeau noticed a change and gave her a blanket and plushie to snuggle with.
She gladly took it but her eyes remained on the fight below.
"You don't have to watch if you can't take it. We don't want another nightmare from you," said Baldwin, gently patting on the girl's head.
Mavislin shook her head.
"I'll be fine," murmured the young Valkyrie, still hugging her blankie tightly.
The Angry Man sighed and continued watching his old partner train a Time Mage. As Raiyen's attacks got unstable, Z tried increasing his power. But, it was then that Z realized something. Raiyen's wounds had gone.
Ashley and Minwoo had been chatting for a while in the dining hall and were enjoying the show outside. The Marquess took a sip of his tea before explaining their next move to Ashley. But the younger brother had his interest in the battle between the two Mages.
"You're right at one point. Like it or not, Mages' battles are far more spectacular than human ones," said Ashley, smiling.
"I'm glad you think that way. But don't wish to get into one with them."
"It won't be much of a battle. It'll be a one-sided conversation."
"That's generally referred to as murder."
The two kept silent until a little Valkyrie decided to visit them. She popped her head out from the top of the stairs, peeking from the spaces of the stairs. She must have been scared to watch the battle outside.
"Looks like we've got an eavesdropper," said Minwoo, looking at Mavislin.
The child giggled and ran down the stairs. Well, more like flew down but it's the same in her book. She landed right onto Minwoo's lap. At least, that's what she thought.
"Minwoo!" said the young girl, cheerfully.
"Gotta work on your landing. Or your memory of people," said Ashley, cradling the young girl.
Mavislin looked lost as she looked up to see Ashley. But gave her usual wide-smile and cuddled him nonetheless.
"You're not enjoying the show outside?' asked Ashley.
The little Valkyrie shook her head and buried her face into Ashley's chest.
"I don't like it when Raiyen is angry."
Ysabeau came down to find Mavislin hugging the stick man. The woman shot a cruel look towards Ashley, making him very uncomfortable.
"You're going to kill him with just your eyes if you keep staring him like this," said Gillian, placing a hand on his wife's shoulder.
"How I wish to. But Mavy might get upset," growled Ysabeau.
Now, the Time boy reeked of anger. His Aura was huge, destroying the plants that he had grown.
"Do you desire to win that much?" asked Z, eyes piercing the young Mage.
The boy remained silent as he pulled back and crossed his daggers with each other, creating an 'X' formation.
"Looks like the odds are back in my favor," said Raiyen, grinning.
The skies were darkening, which was weird for the area. Ashley felt a chill down his spine and hugged the child closer. The drop in temperature freaked the brothers out. If one Mage could turn an entire area's weather around, what else could they do?
"Just what is he?' asked Ashley, looking at the battle outside.
"A Child Of Time. Otherwise known as a Time Mage," replied Gillian, in a serious tone.
"What?! How can a Mage of Time control the weather?!" asked Ashley, in utter confusion.
"You've got a lot to learn. That little girl in your arms can use five Elements at once."
"Ash...ley...okay?" asked Mavislin, unable to say his name without a lisp.
"Yea... I just don't do well with the cold."
"Neither do I," complained Minwoo, extending his sleeve.
"Blankie!" giggled Mavislin as she tried to cover the stick man's body with a small blanket and stuffed toy.
"Since when did this place had rain?" asked Mavislin, looking at Ysabeau with concern.
"It's not weather, my dear."
"Looks like today's forecast is Time Mage," said Gillian, as he looked at the weather outside.
The Old Chapel seemed upset as she flapped the curtains. Meanwhile, Raiyen stood tall, extending his arm.
"Skies above, adhere to my chant. Obey me, O' lightning and rain!" chanted the Time Mage, conjuring up a literal storm.
Z cursed, taking a step back. He had not expected the Time Mage to perform such an act. If done recklessly, the spell might harm the Old Chapel.
