The Angry Man carefully pried the child's hands away and placed the kid on the floor. He instantly ran away, smiling as he held a piece of Baldwin's cloak.
"Maybe. And you should know who has returned home... Again. This time, his presence is stronger and more intense than last time. I wonder if the Valkyries truly have a spell this powerful. Enough to bring the dead back to life. Because that man shouldn't be walking, much less fighting."
"There are some things better left unsaid. And get back here you little rascal! Don't go chewing off people's clothing! They're not food!" yelled Baldwin, realizing his cloak was smaller.
With that, Gillian left Baldwin and headed to the training session at the open field. There, he witnessed a child shooting a spell towards Rina. Externally, he showed no expression, but on the inside, he was impressed. The child was giving off the vibes of a strong Mage.
And Rina was also impressive at keeping her calm while facing the kid. Their Elemental Powers are the same, with Rina forcing herself to stay on the child's level. The result would be easy to predict, according to the Headmaster's eyes.
"Bloom. The flower that grants protection to all... Flower Dance; Side Step. Hypericum Shield!" called out Rina, as a yellow bulb appeared at the spear's tip.
The bulb blossomed into a large, yellow flower with five giant petals. Several thin and long strings came out from the middle, but it didn't seem to do much for the spell. But, overall, the attack worked like a charm. The two spells clashed, creating a beautiful show of orange against pink.
Seeing that the clash was prolonged, Ashley stood up and pulled out a pistol. He shot three bullets in the air, and each of them glowed yellow and turquoise. Three golden lines connected each bullet.
"Lynx Eyes. Triad Starlight!" shouted Ashley, quickly throwing up his triangular shield to stop the excess flames from hitting the kids.
The children stared at the shield with awe as Ashley focused on making the spell sturdy. He didn't have to care too much, but he still needed to be cautious. Circe's created flames feel unique and different from normal ones. The clash lasted a few more seconds before both spells vanished.
Gillian gazed at the Triad Starlight Shield for a brief moment. It still has the same power level as that day's fight, which means to say that the Marksman didn't use the Valkyrie's power at all. Or it could mean that his time within Euphoria has made Ashley gain the powers of Valokia.
Whatever it was, Gillian felt a sense of relief that Ashley didn't fully accept the Corrupted One's offer to join the Husks.. Or else it would lose such a great Mage to the fallen side. As for the young girl's spell, Circe's power was duly powerful and formidable. But to the Founders' level, it was weak.
He could have easily caught that arrow with his bare hands. Granted, Gillian was the strongest out of the Founders, but he couldn't possibly see one of Raiyen's lightning with his hands. Against Rina, Circe would already lose if it was a proper fight.
However, from a trainer's standpoint, Circe broke expectations. A childlike her should not be wielding such powers. Gillian was worried about controlling these kids... And they've only seen what one can do! They haven't even let Duncan use his power yet! Who knows what that kid is going to pull out!
"That's quite a hostile spell, great power behind it. It was wonderful but shaky as a final shot. You increased the arrow's power three times, but it was still unstable. Perhaps your arrow needs a 'backbone,' like how your bow is made out of your hair."
"That way, it might pierce through strong defenses. But I commend the effort. Now then, it is time to see how you counter to my attacks," praised Rina, changing the grip on her weapon.
Rina launched her weapon into the air, breaking it into several pieces. But Circe remained confident as she drew her bow several times. An average pair of eyes could not see it, but it was clear to a seasoned sniper as day.
Yet, Ashley was surprised as one of the parts turned to attack from behind. Not only could she calculate how many pieces were there in total, but Circe could also stop the stray piece from hurting Amanikable. Quicker than the Marksman could react.
Unless... She's been counting the parts from the very start! A fire arrow was controlling each fragment. The parts were going in random directions and quite high above the ground. She didn't have to dodge any of the attacks as she could see them coming from a distance away.
