The Ark Of Impossible Hurricane

"It's a small matter for now, but I fear it would be catastrophic if it hits land at its growth rate. Unfortunately, the designated route that this storm is heading to would be the Teuton Domain. So, Baldwin, I would need you to develop a plan for the locals to get evacuated."

"It depends on how long you will give me to do just that. I'm far from a miracle worker," concerned Baldwin.

"I can't confirm yet since I would be sending some Mages to investigate the storm, but it should hit the West Coast of Teuton within a few months. It might seem like plenty of time, but I wouldn't rest if I were you. Because I don't know if that storm is natural," explained Z sternly.

Everyone shot questioning looks to the Galaxian Mage.

"I'll let the Slayer explain what I meant about that," said Z, tossing the spotlight to Bryan, wolfing down his dinner.

"Ah, it looks like I have to explain this again. And I would've thought Z would know it since he was from tropical areas. Anyways, I'm here to tell you guys how hurricanes work. But first, I need to establish something important."

"The West Coast Teuton waters are cold, and storms brew up because of warm temperatures, so facing a storm is rare. Usually, the place should only suffer the aftermath of a storm, like the smaller shards of broken glass. So there's a reason why Teuton is quite peaceful."

"Of course, it's not impossible, but I found it quite odd that a storm would appear out of nowhere like that. To create a hurricane, which this storm evolves into, you need warm air and moisture. And you would need a cluster of thunderstorms to gather first."

"However, there weren't any thunderstorms in that area, and they just appeared from nowhere. At most, there have been small storms hitting the coast but none as powerful as the one we are facing now. Like what Z has mentioned, it might be done by Magecraft."

"But, for whatever reason, we have no clue. All I know is that I am sure that thing isn't natural," explained Bryan.

"It's the matter of the Blizzard Faction to investigate this problem first, but I'm worried that my members would get caught up with something drastic and lethal. I was telling Bryan that the storm could be related to the problem at Briton, but it was a hunch."

"I've got no proof to back it up, and I wouldn't even know who was the one responsible for creating a storm in the middle of nowhere," replied Z, shrugging.

Ysabeau was busy munching on the beef as her husband looked at her and Z with confusion.

"What's wrong?" asked the High Queen as she chewed on more beef.

"And since when did you like beef that much? I've never seen you brisket that energetically before... Are you alright?" asked Gillian.

"I'm not very sure... Perhaps the kid inside me wants brisket because I'm seriously craving more of these. Either that or Clement's cooking is phenomenal," answered Ysabeau, stuffing more beef into her mouth.

"Well, I'm sure I would need to make more briskets now because the little Valkyrie's pouting face will haunt my dreams if I don't make more," said Clement, quickly getting out.

Mavislin was the only one who didn't get a chance to take the briskets since she was busy setting the children's seats and finding Kai's spoon that he tossed away. And the poor girl was on the brink of tears upon realizing the brisket was all gone.

"It's okay, Mav... You can have some of my pork first..." said Raiyen, trying to coo the Valkyrie.

The Valkyrie shook her head as she continued eating her cod. Clement came back after a few minutes and placed a plate full of freshly cooked briskets in front of the salivating Valkyrie. Gillian then recalled something important and glanced at the silent Time Mage.

"Didn't you face off against a Wind or Storm Mage before the major battle of the Umbra incident? Or was that you, Baldwin?" asked the Headmaster.

"You're correct; it was me, but that was ages ago. I doubt he'd be conjuring up storms without reason if it was the same person. And from what I know, that guy wasn't hostile. When I worked in the Congregation, he was one of my mates, and we dueled for old times' sake."

"That Mage isn't one to create trouble," explained Raiyen.

"I did face off with a Nature Mage the other day, but it was only a small altercation. He ran away when I saw him stealing some candy. I caught up to him, but he conjured a thunderstorm to stop me from going after him. In the end, the kid towards the forest," said Baldwin.
