The Ark Of Tartarus Against Arondight

Wait, Arondight was the sword that Lancelot had used throughout his time as a Knight of the Round Table... Right? Duncan needed to change up his strategy since he had figured out the properties of Arondight. The boy quickly crouched and swiped at Midori's legs.

The above attack made Midori fall onto her back and gave her a chance for Duncan to get away from the close-quarters fight. After tumbling away, Duncan stabbed the Sotobas onto the ground and squeezed his eyes shut as his Elemental Energy covered the entire arena.

The grass surrounding the boy started to decay, and the tree nearest him had fully turned into ash due to the sheer amount of power from the Dark Mage. Midori's ears twitched while her fox tail frizzled as the blanket of despair drowned the battlefield.

"The Offspring of the Primordial Deities; Aether and Gaia. The embodiment of the prison and tortured souls throughout the legends... I bring about this part in the play that satisfies the audience's need for revenge and resentment. Ah yes, let those minds twist!"

The last words that came out of Duncan seemed so unlike the child; thus, it freaked out Midori since she had never seen Duncan use his Orignal Spell. Moreover, the boy seemed to enjoy the thrill as the battle went into the second phase.

The ground trembled, and Bryan was forced to ask the children to back away from the arena since things would get messy very soon. Z sighed and moved the field into the ground once more, figuring that things would be better to create a specific place for the children to duel.

"Hey, it's not my fault that these kids are that powerful! But you are right. We need a better location for them to practice to their full potential. Do you have any good suggestions?" asked the Slayer, shaking his head while looking at Tomoe and Z.

"If I had one, I would've asked you to toss those kids there in the first place. But, right now, the only place that could survive these children's destructive powers is the confides of the Old Chapel. Unless Tomoe knows of another place that is an open space to fight in," replied Z.

The Kitsune had been too engrossed in the battle to care about Bryan and Z's conversation that he failed to notice everyone's stare. Tomoe looked confused when he had all eyes on him for no apparent reason.

"Yes? What can I help you with? The battle is down there, so no point looking at me."

"Tomoe, you've explored most of the world in your days, right? Do you have any places in mind for the kids to destroy everything in their wake happily?" asked Z, with a gaze of hope.

"Says the one who has been on this planet for several millions of years ago... Yes, there are some places where these rascals won't harm others if they allow their powers to go wild. However, those places are usually non-inhabitable for a reason."

"It's either the icy mountain caps of the northern hemisphere or the blazing hot sands of the desert plains. Or there is the ocean if these kids can breathe underwater," answered Tomoe, racking his brain for the several locations he had crossed.

"Nah... Mavislin will have my head before the kids could ever near those places. We have to use whatever we've got right now..."

The Galaxian Mage paused before remembering a specific area that even Gillian did not know about. The plains that Mavislin went to train in after running away from the Old Chapel. But with another loud crash from the battle below, Bryan instantly leaped into the pit again.

As he did so, Bryan got a chance to hear Duncan's spell that he had been chanting before the break in the ground.

"Fourth Frame: Tortures Of The Abyss!" said Duncan as the whole place drowned in darkness.

"Shine bright, Oath Of Arondight!" shouted Midori, stabbing the giant sword in front of her.

The blade shined in pure white as the darkness engulfed the area. Duncan clicked his tongue in displeasure as he felt Arondight's power clashing against his powers.

The Slayer quickly landed and wanted to halt the duel for fear that the darkness Duncan had created toxic to the ones around him, but that wasn't the case. At most, the area was just coated in a blanket of black and had no ailments to the two other Mages.

"Don't fret, and this place will only be a hassle if I truly see you as an enemy. For now, because I'm fighting for you for learning purposes, this area can only enhance my abilities slightly compared to when I'm under the sun. However, on normal occasions, the darkness can consume your sanity."
