The Ark Of This Fight's His

As the light came towards Duncan, the boy took his stance and swung his scythe to the front to block the oncoming attack. As he clashed with the giant torrent of blue light, Midori leaped from her spot. The child somersaulted in the air with such agility that it impressed Nasima.

The little fox raised her sword above her head and delivered a powerful strike on her brother's weapon. The giant scythe was sturdy enough to brave against the strength of Arondight. Slowly but surely, the two Elemental Energies clashed against each other. Duncan's feet dented the ground.

"I didn't expect my sister could harness the strength to put me into the ground this badly," said Duncan as he used both hands to take the weight of the attack.

Midori remained silent and focused on breaking the giant scythe. Duncan sighed as his sister was starting to lose control over her feelings as the duel went on. Right now, the only thing in her mind was to win her twin brother, and Duncan knew it all too well.

"Sorry to say, but this fight's mine," mumbled Duncan, as his eyes and hands flashed green.

Mavislin made an audible gasp while Circe quickly covered Nasima's eyes. Tomoe was ready to jump down to protect Midori but was halted by the Galaxian Mage. Rina knew from Z's gesture not to interfere with the battle below but could not help feeling sorry for the kids.

A vision overlapped Mavislin's eyes as Duncan turned a specific angle for the Valkyrie to look at his face. An image of a pale's man face with scars. But it only happened for a split second before Duncan was ready to deliver the final blow to his sister.

Knowing something terrible would happen, Bryan quickly summoned his twin scythes and got ready to negate the attack. However, as the boy swung the weapon, the entire scythe was engulfed with green and purple Elemental Energy. The Slayer barely had enough time but made it.

"Symbol of the Great Bull of Heaven, Weapon Against Gilgamesh... Stars Of the Bull, Taurus!" shouted Bryan, using his scythes to draw out the Heavenly Bull's Constellation.

A bright illusion of a bull charged toward the giant scythe, but the boy paid no attention as he faced both spells with his signature emotionless face. The children felt creeped out about how scary Duncan looked with that get-up, while the adults looked concerned.

Mavislin refused to deploy Lord Atlantia and needed to conserve her Elemental Energy to summon the Marksman back into the fray. Finally, Bryan backed away. He knew the Stars of the Bull weren't meant to defend as a weapon but rather to increase the Mage's physical defense.

But seeing how much power Duncan had wielded was terrifying to see a young boy trying to kill his sister in a simple fight. Wasn't his sister his bottom line? Then why would he do such a thing to win? Rina and Z felt confused but hoped that Bryan's spell would negate most of the damage.

Duncan pulled the scythe from his waist to above his head, effectively ending the duel by giving his sister a nasty slash across her torso. Midori's screams priced the arena. Duncan stood there with his scythe high in the air; he truly looked like the Grim Reaper.

Bryan was dumbfounded as he didn't expect the scythe to cut through both the Bull Of Heaven and Arondight in one swing. The Knight of Rebellion within Midori had been summoned as a last-ditch attempt to save Midori and lent the child her armor. But even with that...

As Midori fell to the floor, the arena returned to normal and was back at the surface level. Duncan walked over to his sister to examine the damage he'd done. As he glanced at the slash with intrigue, Circe came tunneling out of nowhere to punch him square in the spine.

"What was that for, woman?!" yelled Duncan, rubbing his back.

"Who asked you to kill her?! Slayer Verna said to fight until a single wound or if the weapon breaks, not both at the same time! And she's your twin. Couldn't you have gone easy on her?!" shouted Circe, tears in her eyes.

The Fire Mage shook Duncan by his collar as he spat out those words. The boy was still in his Final Frame and still could do damage, but he chose to laugh instead, much to the annoyance of Circe. After that mockery of a laugh, Circe's hands burst into flames.

This forced Mavislin to step in, but Duncan didn't seem hurt by Circe's fire, which was fascinating since Duncan shouldn't have any protection against Fire Elements. Duncan merely grasped her wrists and pried them away from his collar before stabbing his scythe into the ground.
