The Ark Of Nasima Wins

"What?!" yelled Amani, stepping back in fear.

After shattering that last shield, Nasima went into the Leviathan's body with her spear leading the way. As the girl navigated through the body of the Primordial Beast of the Seas, she left a trail of explosions, destroying the monster from the inside out.

It didn't matter what else Amani could've used because the child of winds had defeated the Primordial Beast twice in the same fight without breaking a sweat. The boy could only stand there with feet rooted into the ground in fear and amazement that the youngest had defeated him.

"Move!" yelled the Slayer as he saw that Nasima wasn't stopping her advance.

Bryan attempted to jump back into the pit but was stopped by Ashley, who had summoned his rifle into his hand. The Marksman Pillar used one hand to prime the weapon and aimed it at Nasima. But the shot was never fired as Nasima was the one who missed Amani, something odd for her.

As she flew past Amani, Nasima broke the ground, causing a massive crater on the arena's floor. Amani felt like he watched his life flashy by his eyes when Nasima moved her attack to aim for somewhere else. The strike was so great that it caused part of the walls to collapse.

As the dust cleared, Nasima was still holding onto the spear with her hand and using the other hand to support herself from falling onto the ground. The audience could hear a pin drop in silence as everyone waited for the moment of victory.

Mavislin hoped both kids were alright, while Z worried about his three gold pieces and thought of quitting gambling with Gillian. Bryan was holding his breath and praying that Nasima hadn't wounded Amani.

"I... Think I need to question my life choices after fighting you, Nasima," said Amani as he collapsed onto his knees, certifying the child of the winds as the duel's winner.

Nasima slowly stood up and tossed her spear into the air, where it faded into Elemental Energy streams and returned to Nasima's palms. The girl smiled as she went over to Amani and patted him on the back.

"Perhaps I should teach you how to control your Blood Mastery in the next lesson. And your defense spells are top-notch because if I hadn't used my Blood Mastery to figure out your weak point, I would've never broken those barriers," said Nasima.

The child of winds sounded relatively mature to talk about combat skills, but the child of the seas was too tired to bother replying. Amani, whose Elemental Energy supply drained, could only muster a slight nod before the area changed to its ground level.

Before the poor child could touch the ground, the Slayer caught Amani and shook his head but had a giant smile of pride plastered across his face.

"The both of you were amazing, and I'm proud to be your mentor for the next couple of years. The battle was fought like watching two gods fight each other. There's no doubt that all of you would become exceptional Mages and warriors."

"But first, this child needs to get some sleep, so no more fighting for him. I'll be back in a few Tocks, so the few of you rest here while I put Amani back to his bed," said Bryan as he carried Amani via a fireman's lift.

Meanwhile, Mavislin celebrated her victory by munching on a few lamb racks while Z was sulking at how Amani could've done so much better at the duel.

"Relax... It isn't a battle between life and death, and it's just practice for the children to get accustomed to combat. So there's no need to be so upset about it; be glad that Nasima could stop herself from unleashing that last move," said Mavislin, offering Z a rack.

Albeit begrudgingly, the Galaxian Mage sighed and took the offered food.

"I know... But I didn't expect Nasima to be strong enough to beat the child with the highest guard. I thought the child of winds was supposed to be peaking in agility, not physical strength?" asked Z, munching on the heavenly meat.

Gosh... Clement has an excellent cooking method for meats... Maybe the chef should teach the Founders some recipes to enjoy having beautiful meals without relying on the poor man so much. After all, Clement is human and won't live as long as the Mages.

"And who said that Nasima has the highest physical strength out of the five children?" retorted Mavislin, tilting her head to the side.

"Judging by the battle that just occurred, I would say that Nasima would have the highest offensive power output since she shattered Amani's barriers. To destroy a powerful shield, you must be stronger than the shield's power."
