The Ark Of Fury In The Dining Room

The Slayer's blood was boiling as Ysabeau threw out those words. But Bryan looked at the sleeping girl before taking a deep breath and speaking his mind. The Slayer would lie if he didn't want to ask the High Queen to shut up.

"As I've always said, I don't answer to anyone else but Lady Roydon. See you at dinner, High Queen Meslander," bellowed Bryan, climbing up the stairs to place Nasima onto her bed.

The Headmaster brushed by Bryan and walked over to his wife, who gave Bryan a glare that could kill a thousand rabbits. Gillian raised an eyebrow at the Slayer as he vanished after turning into the hallway and looked back at the High Queen.

"Mav needs to teach that brat some manners for talking aginst his superiors like that... That boy will drive the children to their early graves with how he trains them! Nasima and Amani were drained out of their Elemental Energy until they fainted!" yelled Ysabeau in anger.

"Come on now; there's no need to get so worked up about teaching methods when you've got other things to handle. Leave the teaching stuff up to the Pillars since Mavislin was the one who wanted to teach the children about Magecraft. So don't fuss too much over them."

"Bryan was trained under Minwoo and worked with Ashley in the Mafia, so I'm sure he has his reasons. And with the success of his first mission in Albion, I can trust his combat skills. Mavislin was the one who chose him to be the Slayer Pillar, so there's nothing we can do too much about it."

"Besides, you should be worried about the growing baby in you... You've been skipping mealtimes and snacking whenever I'm not with you. It would help if you kept to a fixed diet so your body would remain healthy and not go haywire once you've given birth," explained Gillian.

"It doesn't matter..."

Ysabeau flushed as she silently cursed at the Old Chapel for giving away her mini snack times. But Gillian smiled as he gently moved his wife's chin to meet his royal blue eyes. Despite being husband and wife for so long, Ysabeau felt like it was only yesterday Gillian had asked her to be his girl.

The High Queen was reduced to a blushing mess as Gillian used his other hand to tuck a loose hair strand behind her ear slowly.

"The Old Chapel didn't give your secret snack times away... It was the child you picked for the Five Children to join the Barren Pillars," whispered Gillian as he pulled his wife into a passionate kiss.

And of all people to walk into the couple kissing, it had to be the luck of the Galaxian Mage, who only wanted to get some drinks.

"Maybe I should just built a drinks storage in my room, so I don't have to walk into awkward things like these..." said Z as he swayed his head in the misery of being single.

"You're going to expect more of these things since there's another couple in the house," laughed Gillian while breaking the kiss.

Z had walked over to the cabinet to grab a jug filled with lemonade and slammed the door shut before looking at the couple with a weary face.

"Are you talking about the couple that is aware of each other or the other pair that's going in circles?" asked Z, pouring his drink out.

"There are two couples?" asked Gillian.

"Ya, one is the Time Mage and the Valkyrie, and the other is Rina and Bryan. Aren't they a thing as well?"

And if today's luck can't get any worse, Rina walked into the room with a baby Kai holding her left hand and a cookie in the other. The Spearman Pillar was wearing a shocked expression when Z blurted out his prediction.

"Since when am I with that Slayer?! I don't recall ever happening!" yelled the Flower Mage, making Kai look at her with question marks above his head.

"Oh? The two of you talked with each other all the time, so I thought you liked him or some sparks were flying around..." said Z, while Gillian was trying his best not to laugh.

"I'm only discussing the children's progress with him since I'm worried about them! Not to mention I heard Duncan is on a winning spree with two wins in a row. The first win nearly killed Midori since Duncan decided to slash her torso. And the next win made Nasima faint."

"The only things flying around are my fists if I hear anyone assuming that I'm together with that Slayer! He is several decades younger than me!" yelled Rina, making Kai get out of her grasp and run towards Ysabeau's dress to hide.
