The Ark Of About The Kids' Progress

"Ask Baldwin to command his Knights to work with all the Mafia members in Teuton to put down the Hound of Madness for good," ordered Gillian.

"And what makes you think that the Mafia will comply with us? The Mafia only works well with the Five Kings, so they're not going to listen to the Angry Man's orders..."

"Oh? We know one person who can make the Mafia shut up and comply when he opens his mouth to scold the juniors again... I hope we've got a good enough relationship with him to ask the man to command the Mafia again."

Ysabeau took a moment to realize who Gillian was talking about and smiled.

"Do you think he would do so? And will it work in the first place?" asked Z.

"I can ask Mavislin to make him do our bidding, but... I am unsure if his voice is powerful enough to control the entire Mafia force."

Meanwhile, before Z came down to join the couple, Bryan, Tomoe, and Ashley gave their reports about the children's performance during the duels to Mavislin. The Valkyrie was drawing up a plan of action for the kids to make sure every kid gets to challenge each other.

As of the last duel, Amani, Midori, and Nasima each have one win and one loss, with Mordred helping Midori with the win. Meanwhile, Circe has lost twice a row, and Duncan has won all fights. But there are a few pairings that have not occurred yet.

Midori has yet to fight against Amani and Nasima, Duncan hasn't gone against Amani and Circe, and Nasima hasn't dueled against Circe yet. Mavislin thought about postponing the next day's lesson when Bryan gave a solid reason to continue the duels tomorrow.

"If we can get the children to finish their duels, then we've got enough information to work on during the next few practical lessons. The kids' potentials are there, but they are quite weak in a few aspects that lead to their defeat, so I want to finish their duels as soon as possible,"

"After that, I will need time to draw up my teaching plans based on the information I've seen from looking at their fights so that you can do theory lessons for the kids so they won't have to wait for me. It sounds fair, right?' asked Bryan.

The Valkyrie blinked a few times before looking at the remaining duels. What happens if the upcoming contests go out of hand? And today's fights are already putting a strain on the children, so it would be painful for them to go another round so quickly.

Ashley caught on with what troubles the Valkyrie was seeing and placed a hand on Bryan's shoulder.

"I know you want to push these kids, but this isn't the way to go. Remember, you are training children that just came out from torture chambers, so you have to go easy on them. Even I felt that today's battles were too intense for their bodies."

"We should give them a break tomorrow and let Mavislin give them mental challenges instead of fainting left, right, and center. Two days of practical and one day of theory is the best way to go for them at this young age," explained Ashley, expecting Bryan to blow his top.

To Mavislin's and Ashley's surprise, Bryan nodded and agreed with Ashley's explanation.

"Perhaps you are right... I am pushing the children too hard..." said Bryan, sadly as he looked at the profiles of the children.

Mavislin moved her chair towards Bryan and patted him on the back to assure him he didn't do anything wrong.

"There's nothing wrong with your teaching method, but when the kids start fainting... You must understand that not everyone can survive the Mafia's teaching methods. There's a reason why very few people join that group."

"So work with what you have now, and I can get tomorrow with the kids," replied Mavislin, smiling sweetly.

"After your theory would be more of Rina's lesson, right?" asked Bryan as Mavislin nodded.

"So when am I going to join into the teachers' room?" asked Tomoe, impatiently tapping on the ground.

"I thought you hated kids? So I planned for you only to start teaching them when they have shown or used all the stages of their Original Spells," said the Valkyrie, confused as to why Tomoe was in such a rush.

"Are you kidding me?! I could've been doing other things all this time?!" yelled Tomoe, scaring the few Mages around him.

"Well... I said you are free to choose if you want to watch the children since we don't need you until much later. I thought you were free and wanted to see how your little fox was doing..." said Mavislin, pointing at Midori's profile.
