"Because the onslaught is only happening now. These enemies are night owls, attacking using the cover of darkness to kill off patrollers. But I can't stand for this any longer; I propose to mobilize now before anything else blows up," explained Z, looking straight to Gillian.
Mavislin glanced at Raiyen with worry as Ashley and Bryan were fixated on reading the data. The live information was scaring the young ones as the flashing red dots flickered everywhere on the map, indicating that the Arks' members were fighting against the enemy.
Mavislin slowly walked towards the flashing lights and placed a hand on the map. Flashbacks of the Great Noble War overlapped the poor Valkyrie's vision, causing a single tear to run down her cheeks. The cries of children echoed in her mind as Mavislin remembered what was at ground zero.
Running away did not help as everywhere was doused with flames and darkness. Tears fell from her cheeks as the young Valkyrie was forced to kill her only family member left because he had killed everyone else. The fall of Mavislin's kingdom, family, friends, and race. Her home...
And now, the same thing was about to happen to her new home. Mavislin could not help but feel terror again. But this time, the Valkyrie was standing above the chaos and looking at the damages and fights that the onslaught caused amongst the common folk.
Was this feeling the same as the Council's when they forced a planet-wide lockdown on Valokia? No... It isn't and will never be the same as a victim in a trapped room with flames and a person locking that room.
Mavislin clenched her fist so hard that blood splattered out, scaring Tomoe and Bryan into backing away from the girl. Ysabeau was concerned but did not move to comfort her girl. She needed to get over this pain if she was going to be the leader of an Ark.
Upon seeing the Valkyrie's tears, Raiyen instantly went to his girl and hugged her, pulling her away from the map. The look of fear within the Valkyrie's eyes was enough to shake Raiyen to the core. Her kind was the most powerful being in the Universe, and she was scared.
That's enough to make anyone collective pass enough bricks from their rectum to make a city. The Slayer and Marksman Pillars were stunned at Mavislin's reaction to the problem while Z looked away. The Galaxian Mage knew that Mavislin was still too young from the beginning.
Though the recent revelation of the Valkyrie being older than she looks surprised him, Z couldn't help but feel that Mavislin was still a child at heart. The girl has seen so many wars and conflicts but was always on the verge of breaking down at the sight of a fight.
But before he could say anything, the Valkyrie changed her expression from sad to furious as she wiped away her blood and tears. Gillian scanned the information before taking in a deep breath. The High Queen placed on reassuring hand on her husband and nodded.
"As much as we didn't want to make this issue escalate, we have no choice now. We are the only ones who can make the proper call. So let's do it so that no others will get hurt. Mavislin, are you ready to fight in this war?" asked the High Queen, looking at the Valkyrie.
"I am. I will lead my Barren Pillars and the Arks to victory, so no one else has to go through the same ending as I did with Valokia. I know this isn't the same, but it will be the first major fight amongst the Mages since the Congregation's fall. This time, we will not suffer a great loss."
"Do you promise not to go berserk? Because we can't handle your form when that happens."
"You have my word, High Queen. So long as the limiters are lifted, I wouldn't need to resort to those measures. However, are you going allow True Forms?" questioned the Valkyrie.
"It depends on the situation. For now, the battle is in its early stages. But it gets out of hand like the Umbras, I will permit the use of True Forms," mentioned the Headmaster.
"I understand. However, with this conflict being a priority for the Arks, what about the Orphanage and the training Pillars?"
"Do not worry; the kids will be safe in the Old Chapel once I activate war mode in the building. This is an order, Marksman Ashley and Slayer Verna. I need you to immediately move the children from the Orphanage to the Old Chapel with Tomoe and Fluffy's help."
"Ask Clement to help you out in case the children start to panic about being moved on such notice," ordered the Heamdasster, pointing to the Pillars.
