"Can you not decipher how powerful Mavislin is as she stands in front of you now?! Back when I was alive, Mavislin was the one who helped forge the blade needed to kill Vortigern! And she is wearing that same armor that she used against Merlin..."
"I had forgotten that Mavislin was that powerful, to begin with, and now her power levels are through the roof! So I have every right to be scared because she might be choosing us to go into battle very soon!" cried out Mordred.
Midori sighed as she backhanded Mordred in the face, causing the Knight of Rebellion to fly across the ground.
"WHAT WAS THAT FOR?!" shouted Mordred, standing up while touching the punched part of her face.
"THAT WAS TO WAKE YOU! Why are you scared of your best friend?! You should know she is powerful, so why are you so scared now? Get a hold of yourself! You are Mordred, son of King Arthur Pendragon, rightful heir to the throne of Britannia!"
"You shouldn't be scared of a mere Valkyrie when you are the one who killed the Promised King and took down the entire kingdom!" yelled Midori, marching up to Mordred.
The Knight of Rebellion froze up before smiling. Midori found the shift of expression on Mordred scary and backed away. Mordred then ran towards the fox child and picked her up.
"Oi! Please put me down! Have you lost your mind?!" yelled Midori.
Mordred was laughing as she spun around with the poor child screaming for Mordred to release her.
"Are you kidding me?! Since when did you know about my heritage and father?" asked Mordred, finally slowing down.
"What has that go to do with you spinning me in midair?!"
"Because you have out who I am! I am Mordred Pendragon, the Knight who killed the King Of Britannia! At least you are finding out who I am! Once you and I are more in tune with each other's past, we are more compatible."
"That means it'll be easier for you to use my powers and full strength whenever you feel like it. Right now, I'm forcing myself only to allow you to have part of my strength because you would be torn to shreds if I were to channel everything into you."
"However, if you continue to learn more about my past and how I worked when I was Knight serving under that King, you would understand how I got my combat abilities. For now, I am happy that you know a bit of my history..." said Mordred, patting Midori's head.
"I wish to make your dream come true of finding your body again... And maybe settling scores with those Knights that you hate so much..." mumbled Midori, fixing her hair.
Mordred looked shocked before relaxing her shoulders.
"To be honest with you... I don't know if I still hate the fallen Knights for not understanding my rebellion against my father... I wish to fight the Knights again, but not when they have been forcefully revived. I only want to find my father to apologize to him."
"How about your body? You did say that you can't rest until you find it, right?" asked Midori.
"Yes... But I am content with staying with you until you grow up to fend for yourself. For now, your father has given me the task of taking care of you to the best of my skills as a spirit of battle. So even though I've got things within this realm that I want to do, you are my priority."
As Mordred allowed the last sentence to tumble out of her mouth, she pulled Midori into a hug.
"Though, I would be lying if I wasn't itching for a fight against Lancelot and Gawain again..." mumbled the Treacherous Knight.
"That settles it then; I'm going to become stronger so that you can fight without using my body. Then, I will find a way to attend the upcoming fight."
"Thanks, little fox. But, don't become strong for others' sake... Become powerful for none other than yourself since you are the only one who can truly protect yourself. When the world turns against you, you are the only one you can trust. To become powerful with that in mind, not because of others."
"Learn to be more selfish, will ya? If you give your wishes up to others... Then you are no longer yourself anymore. And I would hate to see history repeating itself."
As the twins finished their conversations with their spirits, the whole group of children squeezed past Tomoe and Bryan as they tumbled into the room. The five children of the Pillars paid no attention to the adults in the room as they aimed for the Valkyrie.
"Mama!" yelled Nasima as she flew into Mavislin's arms.
