The Ark Of Security Breach

"I was only joking when I teased her about always calling us Mother or Father, but after hearing her story, I want to crawl in a hole and die," said Gillian, raking his hand through his hair.

"You can die after we end up on the wait list on the clouds, so for now, cheer up and get your head back into the game. We've all discussed our plans and how to deal with our targets, but you have yet to make the first move."

"What makes you think that I haven't?" asked Gillian as he had a big smile.

"I was all over trying to find the both of you! I was lucky that the Pillars were kind enough to help prepare the kids for breakfast; if not, I would've been torn into pieces! And thank god Clement cooked a mountain's worth of food because the kids are all suffering from nightmares!" yelled Z.

"What? Weren't they fine before arriving at the Old Chapel?"

"Yes, but when they've woken up half a Chime ago, they all bawl out their eyes. Rina and Bryan were a great help as they cooed the younger ones while Ashley helped to comfort the older ones and got most of them ready for the day."

"Maybe it was the shift of the Old Chapel? I did use quite a bit of power for the change, so that might've affected the children..."

"No... That's not it because they came into the building after it had been changed. I've no clue what could trigger a bunch of orphans to cry..."

"By making fun of their parents?" asked Ashley, poking his head out of the doorway.

"If you weren't dead and part of Mavislin's Pillars, I would've sent you to meet god with just my finger. Have the children settled down?" asked Z as the Marksman made his way towards the Founders.

"And what caused the children to wake up crying? According to Z, he said that the kids were crying when they woke up. How about the training Pillars?" asked Gillian, bombarding Ashley with questions.

"Hold on there! I still haven't the faintest clue why over a few hundred kids started crying simultaneously. But I am sensing an overload of Elemental Energy and Aura coming from the perimeters of the Old Chapel. I've looked outside, and I don't like it..." answered Ashley.

"There's no way anyone can sense the Elemental Energy and Aura levels from inside this place!" yelled Gillian, leaning forward to the Marksman.

"I know... But if the children and I feel odd or pressured because of increased Elemental Energy and Aura in the surroundings..."

Gillian's face went pale as he realized what Ashley was hinting at the group. Ysabeau and Z caught on and were shocked that such a thing could happen.

"We have been breached... But... How's that possible when our location has always been changing?" asked Ysabeau as she gripped her husband's hand.

"That means someone or something is holding down our location. I was lucky to send the Time Mage and his Familiar away from this place when I had the chance. If they had stepped out normally, I don't think they can come back unscathed."

"What are we going to do about this, Headmaster?" asked the Marksman, summoning his rifle.

"Well, before we put a bullet through the wrong person's head, we should head to Z's room to find out what is going on with the surroundings of the Old Chapel. Then, I will launch an attack from inside if we've been anchored to our position."

"Or... I could call a very old friend of mine," said Gillian, smiling as they headed for Z's quarters.

"I hope that old friend of yours is still active with these things... Last I heard, that person turned into a hermit and vanished from the world. I have no clue if he is still alive..." said Z.

"Are we thinking about the same person here? That Mage may be a hermit, but he is a hermit with an army of skilled warriors. That man is the only person I know who can breach Eastern and Western Powers and still make it out alive without missing limbs," said Gillian.

"That man's army is that vast?! I thought he could only command a few forces?" questioned Ysabeau, figuring out who was the two Mages talking about.

"It would be very kind of you if you could enlighten me on who you are talking about..." Ashley asked as they walked into Z's room.

"Sorry, the person we are talking about is an old ally stationed at the Eastern Forest to stop invaders breaching the Five Domains. But, unfortunately, that guy doesn't like us to tell his name to others when they haven't met him before," explained Gillian as they launched the devices.
