"No... This cannot be... You are a Galaxian Mage?! How can the likes of you become such a powerful being?!" said Gawain, stumbling backward.
"I wouldn't say I'm that level yet, but eventually, I will get there... And besides, how do you know about the Galaxian Mages? There's only a handful of us throughout the Universe, and you should be living amongst the humans... So how did you get access to that information?" questioned Bryan.
"There was only one time that I crossed paths with the Congregation's Mages, and I had to fight against a Mage that used the power of the cosmos to defeat me... But, now that I think about it, your power and that Mage's are almost identical since you both use Constellations as your attacks."
"Gaze in awe and give the thunderous applause to my legion. This is your time to appear in humanity's history again! You need not be trapped after my summons!"
"Shine bright; the Twelve Major Constellations of the Night Sky!" called out Bryan as large golden emblems appeared above the standing Knight.
Gawain gazed at the floating emblems of gold, figuring out that each symbol represented one of the Twelve Zodiac Constellations. But the Knight had no time to sightsee as he was also ready to unleash his spell.
"I have received the blessing of the Sun... Yet, I have corrupted the sword in my hand, for my blessings have turned into curses. The once glorious rays of light will never shine down upon me again. However! My heart still shouts for the King! So let my rage and sorrow ring out!"
"Stars of the Zodiacs!" yelled Bryan as all twelve emblems shined brightly in different colors.
Pillars of various Elements sprang out from the shining circles, engulfing Gawain. But the Knight of the Sun threw his sword into the skies before catching it. Then, despite being pulverized by an array of Elements, Gawain swung his sword one final time.
"Excalibur Galatine Le Fay!" shouted the Knight of the Sun as a torrent of red and black Elemental Energy hurled towards Bryan.
The latter was almost at his limit from using the Constellation all at once. At the final moment, Bryan knew that his standard shield wouldn't last against the wrath of the sister sword, so he crossed his fingers and took a deep breath.
The Slayer took out a few rocks and clenched his fists while murmuring the spell of the Waterbearer. Then, Bryan's fists started to glow, and that's when he threw down the rocks, which triggered a massive wall of water to appear in front of him.
The strength of Galatine Le Fay was undeniably weaker than the real deal, but it was strong against Bryan's mediocre shield. Fearing he wouldn't make it out alive, Bryan silently said his final words. But, he couldn't finish the last part since he heard the chant of another Mage.
"The Chaos Tide. The Womb. Feel the wrath of the Great Mother of the Seas... For she is the Salt Sea Goddess of Babylonia!" echoed the voice of an old foe.
The old foe for the Knight but a current ally of the Slayer.
"How can you still be alive?!" shouted the Knight.
Four bullets flew through the air and appeared before Bryan, just behind the previous shield. A holographic wall of a castle emerged from the four bullets.
"Lord... Tiamat!" yelled the mysterious Mage as the four bullets shined brightly in aquamarine Elemental Energy.
Not only was the shield powerful enough to block Gawain's sword, but the Shield of the Tiamat was also sturdy enough to create an opening for Bryan to rush through without getting slammed by the spell and land the final kill on his opponent.
After the light died, Bryan had both scythes stabbed into Gawain in his head and heart. The Slayer said nothing as the Knight was reduced to ashes. Bryan twisted his back to let out a loud crack as his savior emerged from the trees.
"No matter how much time has passed, your old habits of not showing yourself during the battle have not diminished yet... Hawkeye," said Bryan as he shook off the blood on his scythes.
"Are you not going to ask about how Gawain knows me?" Ashley asked as he reloaded his rifle and allowed it to be dispersed into dust.
"My only question is, why would you load up a gun only to allow it to vanish?"
"Quick access, seeing that it saved your butt just now. Besides, if Lady Roydon summons me into a battle without forewarning, I would be ready to shoot anyone in the face."
Ashley walked up to Bryan and scanned the Slayer for injuries. Bryan felt unnerved at Ashley's gaze and backed away from the Marksman.
