"What a pathetic sight... I never thought someone as noble as a Knight of the Round Table would be cowardly enough to kill himself. What a joke and buzzkill... But I guess history likes to repeat itself since that person was destined to die pitifully," echoed a voice as Ashley quickly loaded his rifle.
The Marksman remained silent as he looked around to find the source of the voice. Ashley nearly dropped his gun at the sight of the intruder. But Ashley remained headstrong as he stared down at the person. A person who should have been dead for the past month and chilling in Euphoria.
"Lady Roydon, something is going on here... So I will be using more of your Elemental Energy. Sorry in advance if I end up in Euphoria again..." murmured the Marksman as he walked towards the new target.
The new opponent was none other than his elder brother, the late Marquess of the Campania. The White Rat stood before Ashley, clad in a black kimono with a white haori. But the glaring difference between this version of Minwoo and the one before was those red eyes.
The person standing before Ashley may look like Minwoo, but his eyes were solid red with crimson streaks adorning his body.
"You may be affluent with the gun, but I will always be the master of the blade, dear little brother. It has been so long since we've fought, so let's make up for all those lost years, alright?" smiled the White Rat as he drew out his Nodachi that was snuggly placed by his left hip.
"Don't speak as if I know you, imposter!" yelled Ashley as he fired several shots at the White Rat.
The cursed Minwoo remained smiling as he quickly made several movements with his blade, slicing up the bullets. But because the ammo was Water spells in compact form, massive water explosions occurred, allowing Ashley to get near his opponent.
But Minwoo was ready as he leaped away from the explosion, making Ashley chase after him. The place was littered with bombs and clashes as the two brothers battled it. The new battle made the previous duel against Tristan look like it was toddler's play.
Ashley was launching an onslaught of bullets while Minwoo was slicing the ammo up and trying to get close to the younger fighter. The Marksman cursed as he was starting to lose ground against this new foe and wasting too much time on someone that wasn't on the target list.
When Minwoo rushed forwards to stab Ashley in the head, the Marksman quickly changed combat styles and used his rifle as a melee weapon, blocking the stab.
"Impressive... I didn't know your gun would be sturdy enough to block my blade, but I don't think you will win this fight soon," said Minwoo, shaking his head with dismay.
"I don't have to win you now because I've got other things to do. And besides, if I'd always relied on the gun and shot out bullets from afar, I wouldn't have earned my title and rushed through the ranks!" yelled Ashley, trying to push his brother back.
"You may have been the Mafia Head for a solid four years, but you're nowhere as experienced as me!" thundered Minwoo.
"Oh? Isn't that a surprise? Despite being an outcast, I could still match up to your clash! You are nowhere near as dangerous as me! Your attacks are so calculated that I can predict your every strike! That's the cost of being trained by the book... You don't have the Element of surprise..."
"It doesn't matter if I was trained by a professional or learned from my surroundings. You can see it, yet you deny it. I will always be more powerful than you because you are my second fiddle! Our parents chose me because they saw the potential fighter in me!" shouted Minwoo.
"Using that information against me won't work anymore. I've already died and left my past life as a nobleman buried like my corpse, so I will not falter against your words. And I know my brother well enough that he would never say such things about me!" bellowed Ashley as his eyes flashed green.
The Valkyrie smiled as she heard Ashley defend Minwoo's personality. Mavislin was content and proud of the Marksman and allowed him a boost of power from the Might of the Valkyries, a spell to pour Valokian Light into an object to perform better in combat.
"As a gift for defending your brother, I'm giving you the physical strength of my people through your gun, so use the Might wisely against this new opponent. This is an order from your boss; Destroy him at all costs," boomed the Valkyrie within Ashley's mind.
"You got it, boss! I'm going all out!"
