Galahad narrowed his eyes as he returned to his battle stance. Despite acting so proud, the Knight was worried that the Sword of Balin might not be as strong as his regular weapon. The Knight of Heaven couldn't deny Mavislin's point; he had been forced into a revived body that he didn't want.
Galahad sighed as he remembered the day he was returned to the world. The King tried to use his memories of the fallen Knights to recreate the entire Round Table but failed when he got to Galahad's part.
That was when Merlin stepped in to help, trying to invoke Galahad's soul into a doll. But because of his role in life, Galahad couldn't be summoned to do evil, nor could he be blackened as the King had been.
These altercations were made, and they resulted in this body. So calling himself Galahad wouldn't be the right thing to do. So instead, it's a body with the changed soul of Galahad, one who failed to get the Holy Grail.
The one who betrayed his King left Camelot because he wanted to search for more than just serving the King blindly. The Knight wished to see the world and indulge himself with the world's desires and lusts. But when he appeared, Galahad was forced to serve the King again.
The two fighters clashed with Mavislin using her shield and Galahad using the blade. The Knight could tell that the guard in front of him was from some ancient city, but he didn't know where. Moreover, that thing weighed a lot since it was powerful enough to bash through several rocks.
Mavislin wanted this altercation to be a fair fight to respect Galahad's honor, so the Valkyrie decided not to use her wings, and she used the stones to get off and into the air.
The Knight was shocked at how quick and powerful the Valkyrie's jumps were since the large boulders she stepped on shattered after being used as platforms.
As Mavislin slammed down onto the Knight with her giant shield, Galahad used his sword to defend himself and had to use both hands to support the blade. But the clash didn't last long as Mavislin abruptly removed the shield and kicked Galahad's head.
As usual, the poor Knight flew to the side. But this time, Galahad managed to fix the landing and could join back the fray by propelling towards the Valkyrie. Again, the two clashed, with large shockwaves kicking up rocks and sand.
At one point, Galahad got behind Mavislin and slashed her exposed back. However, before the blade could be near her, Mavislin stabbed the shield down and grabbed the top. Then, with one swing of an arm, the Valkyrie flipped herself up to do a handstand on the shield.
Galahad cursed as he was forced back by Mavislin's kick. The Knight of Heaven tried again by leaping toward the Valkyrie and aiming at her head. But before he could jump, Mavislin threw her shield at the Knight, surprising the opponent.
Galahad was forced to use his sword in a defensive stance to stop the raging guard. The Knight knew that Mavislin would pull off that trick, so he used all his might to shift the weight of the shield, causing the heavy weapon to fly off into the distance.
The Valkyrie leaped up from her place and caught the shield in midair. She then rushed towards the Knight and slammed the weapon down. Galahad got out in time and turned around to see the crater that Mavislin had created from the attack.
The poor Knight would have been sent back into the afterlife if he had been late. Maybe that would have been better since Galahad didn't want to stay here in the first place. But seeing how Mavislin fought with elegance and tenacity with the shield, Galahad felt the rekindle of his battle spirit.
The two fighters rushed from their spots to unleash another flurry of attacks. Sparks flew about as the combatants duked it out, with Galahad being at a severe disadvantage since his sword was never meant to ensure such heavy attacks.
One last push and the Knight's sword was knocked away from his grasp, leaving him vulnerable. Luckily, his reflexes of a Knight kicked in, and Galahad quickly leaped from harm's way. But Mavislin waited behind him and promptly kicked the poor man's back.
Galahad was shocked and yelled in pain before striking the Valkyrie again. Mavislin stopped the blade with her hand, and her other palm created a swirling orb of Elemental Energy. It was a giant ball of fire, and Galahad was made to choose between his sword or his face.
"Oi! That's not fair; I'm not good at Magecraft!"
"That sound like a 'you' problem..." answered the Valkyrie, smirking.
