The Knight of the Shield was ready to combat the Valkyrie as he tried pouring his Elemental Energy into the blade. But since he wasn't a proper Mage, the Sword of Balin could not be used like Gawain's Galatine or Mordred's Clarent.
Thus, the Knight of Heaven could only rely on his natural defense to face the impending doom. Or he could summon his full body armor, replacing the metal pieces with thicker and sturdier metal guards. His gauntlets were dragon-like while his helmet was back on, with a design similar to a wolf.
After Galahad had the bright idea to armor up, Mavislin found it similar to how Mordred summons her battle armor whenever Midori chooses to take the back row. Mavislin was surprised but smiled as she knew the Knight stood no chance against the blast.
"Aquastris Helios!" yelled Mavislin as she threw the ball of orange and blue towards the waiting Knight.
Galahad smirked as he stabbed the blade into the ground in front of him, causing the edge to morph into a large metal shield reminiscent of his original weapon. But it only appeared for the split Tick it needed to defend the Knight of Heaven.
The Valkyrie was surprised as she retracted her wings and landed back on the ground while clapping for the confused Knight.
"Eh? Are you not going to fight me with your Magecraft? Or was I just too good in my defenses that you deem your powers useless against me?" asked the Knight as the fragments of the shield vanished into dust.
"That's the armor I created and gave you when you first joined the Round Table... Against the Elements from the worlds beyond, the armor will never falter. It was made from the memories of the ores we used to build the castle's forts."
"I thought you reminded me of a little wolf, so I created the helmet to look like a wolf's. Lancelot wasn't too happy when I saw you as a dog, but you didn't seem to mind. Your eyes were full of hope and innocence upon receiving the armor."
"I'm shocked you were still using it despite you leaving Camelot all those years ago... Because when I tried to find you, I only managed to salvage your shield," said Mavislin, looking sadly at the standing Knight.
Galahad glanced at his armor, trying to recall whether he had gotten this as a gift from the Valkyrie or was just a lie to get sentimental points. But Mavislin had nothing to lie about and was truly recalling the past gifts she had made to every Knight of the Round Table.
The Valkyrie didn't tell the Knights, but she had created their gifts by using a single feather from her wings while channeling her memories to give the weapons a 'blessing.' Only Mordred's gift was the power of Crimson Lightning embedded into an existing weapon stolen from King Arthur.
"I apologize, but I can't remember most of my past because of my imperfect and forced summoning into the world. But if that's the truth, I thank you for giving me this armor. However, don't think for a Tick that I would get sentimental with a gift and allow you an easy victory."
The Valkyrie smiled and nodded, preparing for another assault. Galahad wasted no time as he launched towards Mavislin, hoping to catch the Valkyrie off guard as he poured his strength into his legs to cover the distance in a single Tick.
But the leader of the Barren Pillars wasn't falling for such a cheap trick, especially when the opponent was trying to use her signature kick against her. Mavislin caught the flying leg when Galahad questioned if he genuinely wanted to fight a Valkyrie.
Without breaking a sweat, the Valkyrie swung the poor Knight's body above her head for several rotations before releasing the man. Luckily, the Knight had flown away from the fight more times than he liked and knew how to formulate a proper landing.
The Knight of Heaven bounced back into the battle as Mavislin rushed towards another side to grab her shield again. It was in the nick of time as the Valkyrie blocked Galahad's slash using the large metal guard, causing a huge bang that rang across the coast.
Mavislin smiled as she stabbed the shield into the ground and channeled her Elemental Energy into the weapon. Galahad was confused but had no time to react as the guard emitted a massive shockwave towards him, causing him to fly back.
The Valkyrie took up the shield and hurled it towards the Knight. Galahad cursed as he held his sword and prepared to feel the pressure of the giant weapon. However, the shield vanished at the right moment when the Knight exerted strength in his strike.
