The Ark Of Amnesia Curing Shield

"If you hadn't acted on your instincts and answered the Baron's call for help, those women and children would have died. And as we speak, I understand that two rescued children are fighting the Knight of the Lake. And I can feel that they are winning."

"If you continue to regret and blame yourself for the deaths you caused throughout your journey, you will become like my King. A person revived by the very regrets and sorrow that led Camelot to its fall. That's not how you would like to be remembered, right?" asked Galahad, smiling.

The Valkyrie shook her head as she agreed with Galahad's advice. Mavislin closed her eyes as the Knight continued with his explanation.

"After battling you, I think your shield bash knocked some of the memories back into my head. You were Susanne, the woman that aided Mordred during our battles. You concealed your form, so I had never suspected you of being another otherworldly creature."

"Yes, us Valkyries are masters of deception when hiding our presence. I was so angry when you didn't bother to cover your Elemental Aura or Energy. To the Mages, you were like a bright beacon begging for someone to shoot you down," replied Mavislin.

"And this is why I don't like being a Mage. Or a Knight after hearing how dysfunctional we were before the Battle Of Camlann. God, we put the circus to shame with what we've done to destroy our glorious homeland. So I'll let you in on a secret... I don't wish to fight you anymore."

"I want to know what is going on and why we have been pulled back from the grave. I want to find the person responsible and give that person a good thrashing. I don't like where the King is headed towards, and I've seen the destruction that the dolls have caused throughout the Domains."

Mavislin was shocked at how quickly Galahad had changed his mind about killing her. The Valkyrie was skeptical but tried to play along. Regrettably, with his real memories returning, Galahad knew that Mavislin didn't trust his statement.

"You've got that look on your face... It's your suspicious gaze," pointed Galahad.

Mavislin sighed and smiled before approaching the man. It was pretty awkward to talk to Galahad in this form since she was so used to seeing him as a young lad.

"Alright, you got me. But, I still don't believe that you are willing to stop serving the King and not fight me when we started this battle in a hostile manner. Remember, you did say that you wanted to kill me, one of the Founders of the Arks," explained Mavislin.

"Yes, but that's before that amnesia-curing hunk of metal slammed into my head. My summoning into this physical form is odd, with most of the memories being distorted or wrong. It's as if I didn't want to come here but was forced to by amending my memories."

"For example, I remember giving the Holy Grail back to the Heavens, but I don't remember who you were when you were so close with Mordred," explained Galahad, scratching his head.

Mavislin blinked a few times before her eyes widened upon realizing that the Knights' revival wasn't perfect. There were some holes, but it was small details, like their appearances or thoughts. It was alright if the person that got revived was physically different but losing memories isn't okay.

"Wait... Are you telling me that all of the Knights had been revived with twisted memories? Or is it just you?"

"It's everyone, including the King since he says he can't remember who Mordred was. Of course, I didn't dare to ask the King more questions, but the rest of the Knights had different memories and personalities like I said before."

"It honestly freaked me out at first, but I got used to it until now. And I'm back to freaking out because I have my original memories again..." said Galahad, shivering.

The Valkyrie quickly placed a hand on the Knight's shoulder. Galahad instantly relaxed and smiled.

"So, what do you plan to do now? Other than having a nice cup of tea and resting your head..." asked Mavislin, getting ready to leave.

"Well, I can head back to the King and tell him I've failed to kill you. But, of course, the result would be him killing me off, which is the end of my story... Again. Dying without any means of knowing my worth or a proper victory."

"Or I can follow you back to your castle and help your team defeat this Fabian person," proposed Galahad as he faced the waters.

The Valkyrie sighed as she watched the Knight's hair flowing freely in the wind.

"If you decide to join us and fight against your brethren and King... Can you stomach it?"
